I am not sure how much I can say about this little guy. I wanted items for my new home that didn't fit into the "every home" category. It feels like most homes all have the same cookie cutter lay out/items and I wanted my home to be different, I wanted items that were conversation pieces all over the place, I wanted unusual and not-so-typical and this fit the bill perfectly. He has a stake on prime realty in my kitchen (the corner of the L shape counters) and he just commands attention when you first come in. Every new person that comes to visit typically stop in front of this thing and admire it.It is art but is it functional? Yes, it is functional but is it practical? That's a hard one for me to answer - someone else might say yes it's practical but honestly the pepper and salt come out of it a little faster than I'd like so I bought more expensive salt and pepper shakers that don't dish out as much as this one does per shake. The salt and pepper shaker that came with it are generic stock that you'd find in some greasy spoon or cheap diner.It's a fun little item that people seem to love to look at, can't go wrong with it honestly. Very glad we purchased it!

Purchase one locally just because it was quirky and cool. Fits well with our decor. We use it for garlic powder since we have salt and pepper grinders. It cleans up easily with Dawn dish detergent since it tends to get greasy being close to the stove.My mom loved it when she saw it so I was happy to find it on Amazon since our local store was sold out. Perfect Mother's Day gift.
