The texture: are they like Spam, or more like the typical glazed hams?

Not like a glazed ham. You would not use it to slice and eat. More like chunks or shreds formed into the can shape. Excellent smoky flavor that is perfect for shredding with a fork for recipes such as ham salad.

Do these cans have easy open pull lids?

No. The cans are steel, not aluminum. You'll need either a GI can opener, Swiss Army knife with can opener thingie or an old-fashioned two handled rotary wheel/serrated wheel can opener to open them. You can also use an electric can opener if you want cats to miraculously appear out of nowhere when you are about to eat canned ham.

what is the sodium content?

If you're ordering the Hormel no salt added canned chicken then it's 80 mg of sodium. Not sure about the other comments, but they're not about this particular item.

Is this ham already to eat

Oh gosh yes! Shh don't tell anybody but, I often eat it straight from the can. It is by far the best canned ham ever. It's not all ground up, there are actually chunks of ham in there. And, if you don't like it, you can send me the rest ;)
