A beautiful and useful tool. I used it for burnishing a small wood craft.

As with my other review, these are very good as well. On can use them for quality burnishing. For example, I used one to burnish this fine recommendation. Yeah, baby!

Nice little burnisher, well polished, and a good size at least for my (somewhat large) hands. And so far it's worked well on the two pieces of jewelry I've used it on. But this is the only stone burnisher I've ever owned or used, so don't have a good basis for comparison with whatever else might be available.

I throw with a speckled clay that is high grog. I was having the issue where rims turned out be rough with grog on the surface. Running this over the rim when trimming has solved the issue for me. I'm not burnishing to replace glazing and the glaze takes just fine to my now smooth rims. I know I could have used most any hard surface to accomplish this, but did I mention how pretty this is? It looks so good in my kit and has no sharp edges that could catch on the clay and let me cause problems for myself.

This burnishing tool is perfect for my homemade greeting cards when I fold the cards and smooth the crease. The tool is smooth all over and beautiful to look at.

I purchased this for burnishing pottery while in the greenware stage. Unfortunately, there is a line/seam on the edge which is jagged enough to cause scratches. The line is long & even enough, that it makes me wonder whether this is agate or actually resin. I missed the return window on this one….otherwise it would have gone back.

It is agate and nice, but it is very flat. On the picture it had a slight curve, which I thought would be easier to use for leafing. There is also not a hole for hanging, as pictured.

It scratched and removed the gold leaf rather than buff as expected. It ruined the picture frame which needs to be regarded...however I may just throw it out with the buffer! It is in the garbage now and was a total waste of money. Avoid....

I am using is for burnishing prints onto rice paper and gold leafing so far is it fine.

Bought for burnishing wood carvings like bowls and spoons. Works really well. Good angles and curves for different spots.
