Second time purchase, greatly improved. A must for those with lower back pain.
I'm a fan of this chair. Typically, this is the type of chair that I'd shy away from- I love a backrest and armrests, and this chair just looked kind of weird. All these concerns were unfounded however, this is one of the comfiest and most versatile seats I've ever used. I originally bought one of these chairs in 2019, it was good but it took a while to put together and one of the leg rests fell off after a little while so I stopped using the seat and settled on a run-of-the-mill Ikea kitchen table chair (look up "chair" in the dictionary- this is what I sitting on). After a year of sitting on the Ikea chair, my back and hips were constantly in pain so I decided to try out one of Sleekform's kneeling chairs again and have been so happy with it. The Sleekform chair introduces a range of movement and posture that I don't get from a normal chair. The cushions are super comfy, and it's a great height. It feels made of quality materials, and I like that the team at Sleekform has taken a style of seat that is typically pretty ugly/ clunky looking and made it look like something you don't mind having in your home. The customer service is great- quick and helpful (I had the seat cushion facing the wrong way and customer service helped me troubleshoot this very quickly). Highly recommend.

Works as expected, nice padding
This is my second kneeling chair. I had one in the early 2000s that I LOVED. That was a hulking metal piece that was sturdy and didn't have the rocking capability. This one is a little less sturdy than I'd love (I wish I'd waited for the brand's metal one to come back in stock), but I don't feel like it's going to break under me. As one other commenter mentioned, I do think I'll have to re-tighten some screws and may use loctite or similar. Comfort wise, it's great. You will take some time getting used to it, as you will when changing your seating. I got too excited and forgot to only use for a half-day. I was sore that evening but otherwise okay. I really enjoy the ability to rock back and forth. (i fidget a lot while working and this is a nice SILENT way to do so.) I'm 5'8" and 200lbs, and the unit fits me well. I'm still able to put my feet flat on the knee pads comfortably when I want to adjust my position.

Not designed to last
I bought this chair because my prior desk chair was killing my back. This kneeling chair helped with the back pain, but it has its own issues. I'm handy at assembling things, but this chair was a bit of challenge, despite good instructions and a video. After a few weeks of use, I noticed that that the shin supports were loosening. It has been necessary to retighten them every couple of weeks, as they are held to the frame with just a single screw bolt. Over longer periods, the bolts in the frame and seat also loosen. (Save that hex key.) The directions say that if you are balanced properly on the seat, your shins and knees should not need the support of the pads, but I find myself sliding down onto them anyway. The fabric, although durable, is quite rough. The issue with the shin pad's bolt has caused the threads in the pad to strip, leaving one of them permanently wobbly. Now I'm in the market for my fifth desk chair in four years.

Affordable and comfortable office chair
So happy with the Sleekform Ergonomic Kneeling Chair. I have been looking for a new chair for my home office that would be more comfortable for sitting at the computer for many hours. I needed a chair that would help with my posture and keep me from slouching so much. In my search for a new chair, I came across the Sleekform Ergonomic Kneeling Chair. This chair is exactly what I was looking for in an office chair. The design of the chair helps me to stay mindful of my posture and helps me correct it by being able to easily adjust how I am sitting. If I am putting too much pressure on one part of my body, I can easily change positions and still maintain better posture while sitting for long hours. The rocking motion is a great way to stay active while sitting and for me has a calming effect. It is my favorite part of the chair! The chair also works well for people of different heights. I am 5โ8โ and my son is over 6ft tall. He is all legs and he is able to sit in the chair very comfortably and he really likes the rocking motion too. The chair is well designed and sturdy. It comes unassembled, but is packaged very well and all the parts are labeled clearly - I really like that the company was so thoughtful on the labeling. The hardware even comes in a sealed set of bags. And the directions are very easy to follow. I did find the directions had a few minor issues, but it did not cause me any issue with assembling the chair. I took my time putting it together, but I believe you could assemble it pretty quickly if you are more familiar with putting furniture together. Some of the other great features I appreciate in the chair are: The cushions for the seat and legs. They are much thicker than some of the other kneeling chairs I found. The felt strips included for the bottom of the chair that comes in contact with the floor. This is really nice if you have floors that can be damaged. And I like the black painted wood. The paint job is very well done and the chair looks very streamlined and modern. I am really happy with the chair and highly recommend it if you are looking for a comfortable chair. Update: my son liked it so much, I bought him one. It really helps to have a comfortable chair since he is home for school while we are in online school mode for Vovid-19. Still highly recommend the chair.

It's was comfortable while using but
It's less expensive version of the european ones. I've used one of the other ones before but don't remember the experience well enough to remember if they were superior and worth the extra cost. I bought four of these. Three for myself and one I gave as a gift. The instructions aren't always clear when assembling but the picture is easier to copy to get it together. In all three of my chairs, one kneepad is different sized from the other one. I also have the problem, over the long term, that the screws for the kneepads become loose and I have to keep retightening them. If I end up with them in a more permanent location, I might use some gorilla glue/locktight and them these things down. I might one day invest in the european version as a test. Update: downgrading to two stars. The pegs on the kneepads have pressed deep into the pads and now the kneepads swivel on the one screw. I hope the design improves in the future. Update two: initially bought about july 2020. With intermittent use, they havenโt held up. The seat is no longer comfortable. At least one of the kneepads on each seat are too loose now and the screws just keep spinning. Some of the dowels have pushed in too far which doesnt help keep the pads stable. I might need to use glue or just get longer dowels and screws.

Pieces and bolts donโt align
Iโve built my fair share of DIY furniture and actually enjoy the process. This product though, seems to have been built with the sole intent of wasting my time and and causing frustration. First, product was delivered on Thursday, and when I attempted to put it together on Saturday, saw I was sent two left side pieces instead of a right and a left. Life happens, so after emailing Sleekformโs customer service, they dropped the right part into USPS on Monday and I received it on Friday. So here I am, trying to put this chair together and itโs clear that something went off in its construction because the pieces and bolts just donโt align as you can see in the photo. The quality of the product is shoddy. A friend got the same product and it seems to work for them so caveat emptor, I suppose. For me, UPS will be picking up for return on Monday and Iโve ordered a different kneeling chair that will arrive by Sunday.

Happy with it!
Overall this chair is awesome! It was a bit confusing to put it together at one point, but I loved that all the instructions came coded and the pieces were separated into their own pouches with labels. Very organized. It probably took me about 45 min to get it done. Once I had eveything properly put together, the chair is amazing. The rocking is smooth and is just what I was hoping for. I have been using it in increments for a few weeks now so the transition is easier on my body, and it has felt great. Awesome product!

Great chair just a little wobbly
For the price this is great chair. I use it daily, it's a comfortable chair and I love the rocking motion. The chair was really easy to put together and it had directs that made sense. The fabric is really durable and it has decent padding. The only con is the body of the chair and the knee pads feel a bit wobbly at times.

Great chair
i really like this chair, my only notes to potential buyers are that 1. it does take some time, especially on your shins, to get used to. i've had the chair for about a month now, and i'm still not completely used to it and change my position really frequently (like one or both feet on the floor, etc.) โ to be fair, i am not at my desk all day or every day, so if you plan to use this chair for a 9-5 type of situation, you may get used to it a lot faster. my shins also hurt a lot less and after way longer on the chair compared to the first few days i had it. 2. i am 5'8'' with a 27 inch desk, and me and the chair fit great at my desk BUT โ and this isn't the chair's fault, just something to keep in mind โ my laptop is so much lower down from me now compared to my old chair/desk posture, it's a strain on my neck and eyes to look down at it. you may want to consider something to raise your laptop/monitor up if you think this will bother you. 3. the instructions were somewhat vague/contradictory at points, but nothing too hard to figure out yourself (basically something was on the wrong side of a piece OR the instructions were wrong, and it was confusing me for 20 minutes until i decided to just go with my gut/eyes LOL, then all was well). overall though, i'm really happy with the chair, my posture does feel a lot better when i'm at my desk, and i appreciate that it rocks as i like to fidget a lot when sitting down and this provides a good outlet for that.

nice but
I bought one of these a few weeks ago, and liked it so much I ordered a second one, all black this time. Well, I don't know what happened in between, or if I was just lucky the first time, but setup was way harder the second time -mostly because, for one of the knee pads, the bolt socket was not quite in front of where the bolt landed. I ended up being able to move it enough, but at that price, I would expect things to fit properly. Moreover, the two knee pads are not quite the same density, so I tend to slant on one side. Still love the idea and the look, though

We like this product and both my wife and I use it
The device is solid. It is not that easy to put together as the instructions do not address orientation of pieces - a few adhesive directional stickers (like front vs back) would save a lot of time. I like the device but it takes a little getting used to. It is very comfortable. We may get a second one.

Do your back a favour
I've had the Sleekform Austin for about a month now, and it has exceeded my expectations. It's a very comfortable and versatile chair, and has been a game changer for daily office work. The design is stable, it rocks well, and the plywood has a nice flex to it. The cushions are comfortable and broke in well over the first two weeks. The chair was easily assembled in approx. 15-20 mins. The instructions and labels were clear, and all parts were included. I used an impact driver during assembly, but don't recommend it; the bolts have soft heads, and I stripped a couple in the process. The supplied hex tool is all you need. Nothing has required retightening after a month of hard rocking. I originally tried to order straight from the company because I appreciated their designs, but they couldn't ship to me in Canada. A representative got in touch with me right away to direct me to their Amazon store for the solution, and she was extremely helpful and courteous. I kept my conventional office chair in case I wanted to switch it up from time to time, but I haven't used it since. To be honest, my lower back aches just to look at it. Thanks again to the Sleekform crew for all their great work!
