I bought one of these for my husbands workout area so he could mount in the wall by the window to pull in cool air. He enjoys being able to positions air movement to different places. Then, out ceiling fan stopped working at our cabin. We almost replaced it when I realized this would work much better. Unless you have a really expensive ceiling fan they just don’t put out much air (outside anyway) and we have mosquitoes. We bought another of these fans (no need for installation expense, easy to do ourselves) , strategically placed it on the wall where it blows right where we sit and it can be adjusted if we desire. Puts out much stronger flow than ceiling fan, less mosquitoes and cooler people, overall less cost! That’s a Win, win, win, win !!!

I ordered this fan for my garage to replace a seventy year old “hand me down” fan that the internal wiring was disintegrating from age. For fear of my old fan now being a fire hazard, I reluctantly decided to replace with a new one, but felt there would be no chance of getting a new fan that would be built and perform as well as the old one. I WAS WRONG! This fan performs every bit a good as my old fan! Same air volume, same noise level, and I was even able to mount from the ceiling to both tilt and swivel just like my old fan. Using only one bolt in the top center hole of the mounting bracket is what allows this, though I may have to beef up the top of the bracket eventually, as the bracket is somewhat thin and flexes a bit more than I’d like. Time will tell. Still, I’m extremely happy with this fan so far! Update: After 4 1/4 years of nearly everyday use during the hot summer months, I’m happy to report the fan is still working flawlessly!

Solid build quality and they move a lot of air given the size. I bought two and installed them in my garage. FL heat is brutal. That being said I came across something interesting. When propped up on the ground or on any flat surface they move a lot of air. Can feel it at least 15-20 feet away. When mounted on a ceiling, like a garage ceiling, the fan puts out maybe 10% of what it should, on high. Something about how close the fan is to the ceiling given the bracket that’s included? I have at least 2 feet of gap behind the fan and to the side. The air seems to blowing around the outside of the fan. The air being sucked in is almost fighting the air being blow out. You could have your face 1 foot from the fan and it felt like someone waving their hand in front of your face trying to cool you down. I took some of the cardboard that the fans shipped in and had to build a cowling to cover the top half of the fan. Whatever the reason, it works just fine now, blowing out with little turbulence.

For an 18” fan I was extremely pleased of how much air it moved. The motor was quiet and the blades seem to have the exact pitch to create the perfect flow. 3 speeds and on high keeps my garage gym air flowing when it was 90 degrees outside. Heavy duty long cord and solid pull chain. However, I am plugging and unplugging the cord to tun on and off to minimize chain pull wear and tugging on the fan because it’s mounted on the ceiling. Definitely a good purchase. It’s a tad pricy but a cheap fan will give you cheap results.

Used 3 of these fans to cool horses in there stalls. They all worked very well with 3 speeds we get lots of air movement although we use only the low speed which is all that is required. good product so far no complaints. Would buy again for sure.

Perfect barn fan. Very powerful, keeps my horses cool in summer on low setting. Detaches easily from mount for cleaning and winter storage.

Simple to install and hope it doesn’t cost a lot to run 24/7. Motor is quiet and has great air l flow.
