Sturdy and big enough for a 6'2" novice rower
I've only had this for a couple of days, but overall it's been a great buy. It arrived on time, well packed. Instructions are quite minimal but I put it together in about 20 minutes after a couple of minor mistakes. The track is long enough for me to straighten my legs when rowing - something I was concerned about being 6'2", but there is still another 6-8cm of space to slide back further. The resistance seems quite light and I've turned it straight up to 8-10, but it's enough to give me a good workout. I realise now why the Concept 2 rower is about 2.4m long and this is 1.81m. This has a shorter length of stroke, pulling from about level with your toes, rather than being able to reach way past your toes as you might with a much bigger machine. While a longer stroke would be nice, this is plenty to get some good cardio at home and since I have neither the money or space for a bigger machine, I'm very happy with the compromise. There is a quiet noise of the runners rolling back and forth on the track, but not enough to disturb others, or stop you listening to something while working out, and the cable resistance is virtually silent. I haven't quite worked out the display yet, but it works and gives time, distance, strokes and calories, and is quite easy to read. I can't comment on how it lasts, but it seems sturdy and well built. It folds up quite nicely for storage. Overall it seems like a great balance of cost, size, quality and function.

Works well, but not straightforward to assemble
I'm pleased with it now that it's assembled. It seems robust and offers a reasonable range of resistance using the control knob. I haven't got to know the display panel yet because I use my own separate heart monitor. Overall, the machine does what I expected. I give less than the full five stars purely because of the poor assembly instructions. Part numbers did not correspond to the diagrams and some of the descriptions were obviously written by a non-native speaker. It took me about an hour to assemble. When I first opened the box I was concerned there would be missing parts as it seemed to have been previously opened and resealed with masses of messy plastic tape. Fortunately everything was there.

Generally pleased with it
Some people have said this rower doesn't give much resistance. They must be built like The Terminator... I row 10,000m at a time, two or three times a week. I have the rower on resistance 7 and it takes around forty-five minutes. When using a rowing machine in the gym - obviously a lot more expensive and high-tech, the distance still takes around forty-five minutes, so I'm guessing the resistance is pretty much the same as I use there, so overall I'm happy with that. It's magnetic resistance as well, which is better than elastic as nothing (should) deteriorate over time. Difficult to assemble - for some reason I ended up with two plastic screw-covers spare - there shouldn't be, and I can't see where they're supposed to go, but at the end of the day they're not particularly important for the machine. Haven't folded it up once - it stays out all the time so have no idea what it's like folded. The distance/calories/time screen is fairly straight-forward and clear to see. I like the fact you can continue your totals as well - when you stop using the machine, it 'remembers' all previous counts so you can add everything up for the full week. Obviously you can reset everything and start again from zero each time if you want. For the money, this is pretty good - not the best as it's not silent, so if you have it on floorboards upstairs like I do then perhaps the neighbours can hear the vibrations when you're using it, but it's certainly not the worst rower I've used. It's worth paying that bit extra if you can to have the magnetic resistance - it should last you longer. It's balanced well and doesn't feel like it's going to move any time soon. Beware though, when it arrives packed it's pretty bulky and quite heavy, so if you're not used to exercise and are getting this to shed the post-lockdown pounds you may need some help getting it to the room you want to keep it in.

Great purchase
As a 50 year old lady this is a great workout for me , I was very surprised I assembled this correctly on my first attempt, pretty straight forward if your good at puzzles lol . Had for about a week now and been using it for around 15-20 mins a day doing around 3k on 6-8 setting, resistance is great it tires me out hoping to up my time and k's as I get used to it , very sturdy and comfortable for for me , highly recommend , for some reason only letting me put 4* but it's definitely a 5* from me .

Get a lot for your money
Great piece of equipment, myself and my two sons use it regularly. Very smooth and stable piece of equipment. Very simple to use, and stores away neatly when not in use. Seller is very responsive with any queries.

Well built and effective
This is a good value home rowing machine. It's well made and robust, although lacking in some of the electronic sophistication of much more expensive 'pro' machines. Assembly instructions aren't as clear as they should be but, once assembled, it works well and folds easily when not in use. Calorie counter seems to be determined solely by distance rowed and is unaffected by how hard you work to get there! Overall I'm happy to recommend it to home users, although it's probably not going to satisfy serious rowers.

The XS Sports 310 rowing machine is superb!
I have had an XS Sports R310 Home Rowing Machine-Folding with Magnetic Adjustable Resistance-Fitness Rower for at least 19 months. Prior to buying the XS rowing machine I had 2 other rowing machines from another brand. Both of my earlier rowing machines broke before they were 18 months old. My XS rowing machine has been superb. I regularly do a 1000 strokes on the No.7 setting on the dial, which has a maximum of 10 settings, within 30 minutes. I do that usually about 3 times a week. In 2015 my heart consultant recommended that I get a rowing machine because it is the only thing that exercises every muscle in the body. I must admit that I also purchased two gel cushions to place over the seat provided because the seat was quite hard and I am in my 66th year. The XS rowing machine was very easy to assemble. The build quality is such that it is very sturdy. And the facility to fold the seat carriageway upwards was very important, so that the rowing machine could be folded and stored in a reasonably compact floor space. I would thoroughly recommend to anyone who is looking to buy a rowing machine that you look no further and order the XS Sports R310 Home Rowing Machine-Folding with Magnetic Adjustable Resistance-Fitness Rower. I feel sure that you will not be disappointed. The magnet on the XS rowing machine was very different from my 2 earlier rowing machines. And the only maintenance I have had to do since purchasing the XS rowing machine was to tighten 2 screws that had become loose this week, in the middle of April 2021 19 months after my purchase.

Good little rower
Had this rower for 4 weeks now, really happy with it. When it first arrived I was worried the resistance would be too low. I'm a 40+ year old bloke whose fitness has always been maintained but I'd consider avaerage and this machine gives me a good workout at level 7 for 30mins with room to increase resistance up to the max of 10 as my endurance improves. Easily assembled, looks & feels well made, folds up quickly and easily to save space, glides smoothly while in use and the seat is comfortable. Can't go wrong ๐
