Does it work with diesel engines?

I think it will work but may turn green rather than yellow. There are fluids designed for Diesel engines and I believe those are red in colour.

is this safe for the coolant system? i have it and i think some got sucked into the coolant tank

How can I use this if my radiator does not have a cap?

It should go into the opening for the cap on the overflow bottle which should be where you can top up the coolant level.

think if you put this on during warm up it will give a false negative. Doesnt do full green but very very light blue due temp chemical react ?

I used it on my Capri and had it in place from start up. I ran the car until the thermostat opened and the car was operations at full temp. Thankfully there was no colour change at all. Shouldn’t give a false negative and shouldn’t react with temperature. Only if the system contains exhaust gasses.
