The cover should have been fitted better , It rattles around .

It looks great on my kitchen counter and keeps butter at a spreadable consistency, which is the idea, right? It easily holds 1 or 2 sticks of butter. Seems very durable... what's not to love. I recommend.

The design looks pretty, but I did not stop to think how hard it is the slice off a piece of butter in a small contained bowl in contrast with an open plate

I'm glad I took my time looking for the right butter container. Many are similar to this one but this one is perfect. I didn't want one that was too big. This is metal so not easily broken if dropped aha lightweight for everyday use. It came with two tops!!! And two small butter knives which I just love. One top is thicker than the other, both fit perfectly. There is NOT a seal and I can't imagine why you'd want one. Only makes it more difficult to open each time you need butter. These tops both fit nicely to protect but are easily removable. The dish is not a bright white but a soft winter white, no bluish or gray tone to the white. The card the sellers insert is beautiful. A great value so happy I took my time in choosing.

I wanted a butter dish for the outdoor barbecue. This unbreakable one is perfect. It keeps your butter cooler which makes it easier to use (for certain recipes). Cleanup is easy as well.

I don’t know what the second thicker lid is for.
