Sundown St. John’s Wort Capsules, Supports a Positive Mood, 150 Count

It is a mild anti depressant and mood booster. The plant has bright golden yellow flowers and it is supposed to bring good cheer to a person. I like it well enough for an extra bit of sunshine in my life. It is non addictive however I prefer to have it on hand so I do think it comes in handy. If you get easily discouraged by the negative moods of others or you are happy when others are happy and a bit on the sensitive side, then this is sort of like a bit of extra help to stay positive. It is far from being strong medicine and if you have serious depression I am sure this may not do however as a preventative and home remedy I recommend it. Something about it feels good to me. Not a replacement for medical treatment but a true and tried herb in Europe that can take the blues out of the weather or a bad day. Nothing major but it works over time in a supportive way. I like it and this is a good version. One a day is sufficient for me and it lasts several month with 150 in there so quite economical. It is also supposed to help with PMS and menopause and has anti-inflammatory properties. In Germany they use St John's Wort oil against arthritis and other pains of the nerves topically. It is also used to treat skin cancer. I read it may interact with prescription medicine so double check with your doctor if you are on an anti-depressant before you take it internally or have serious health concerns however I have nothing but good things to say about St John's Wort as a mood booster for a normally healthy person and have never noticed any side effects whatsoever.

This stuff boosts and improves my mood whenever I take it. I wanted a St. John's Worts that had a lower milligram. That's difficult to find. This is 300 mg, but you have to take 2 capsules to get to the 300 mg. That means 1 capsule is 150 mg. of St. Johns Worts, which makes this a better alternative for me personally as I want a lower milligram. I know many want the higher one, but I must be the rare one that just needs a slight boost in mood. The higher the milligrams for St. Johns Worts the more side effects I experience such as tiredness, low libido, anxiety rises and it can cause an allergic reaction like a rash or even make the eyes sensitive to light. But I can't not take this.After a couple of days of not taking this, I notice a difference. I become irritable and moody and also I have low motivation to do anything. I need to take this. Then when I finally just take this capsule, my mood starts to improve and level out. I'm also more motivated to accomplish things. Nothing else works as great as this for me and believe me I've tried it all.

I greatly appreciate the lower dosage of these capsules. I have not found any other brand that has this low dosage available. I have a very sensitive body chemistry, and usually the minimum dosage of medications work for me. Some people need a higher dosage of St. Johns Wort in order for it to be effective. However, for me, higher dosages of St. John's Wort make me woozy and dizzy. One of these capsules is just enough to take the edge off of mild depression or moodiness for me. I only take this when I am having some temporary mild depression, usually due to circumstances out of my control - and the St. Johns gives me relief so that I can go about my day without feeling weighed down mentally. They seem to work for me almost immediately without any weirdness or side effects - I just notice that I don't feel so down. I have been taking these on and off for many years. I always take them with food in my stomach. If you have difficulty swallowing as I do, these capsules are not too big. I also have a couple of relatives who take St. Johns Wort in higher dosages. One takes it to help with mild depression and the other takes it to combat negativity and moodiness. It seems to provide just enough of a mood elevation that they can each function more happily. People have noticed that they are both more pleasant to be around, which has helped with their relationships and their ability to enjoy life. I don't know why it works for some people and not for others, but it has been a big help for my family. I know that St. Johns can interact with some medications and is not recommended for certain medical and psychiatric conditions, so best to check with your doctor before taking.

I have tried so many different prescribed medications that made me gain a lot of weight so I became more depressed and zapped my energy level to the point I didn't want to do the things I love to do anymore.I am impressed with the results of the tiny capsule and I am so grateful that I have found something that actually works without all of the horrible side effects of prescription medications.I can't imagine Life without this product!
