Over door towel holder really nice
After checking the other reviews and looking at the photo, I decided to buy. I'm glad that I did so. It fits well on my cabinet doors. Of course, it is an over-the-door, so it is not a tight fit. If I hit it too hard, or the towel hangs on something, then it comes up/off. But I expected that. It fits "tight" enough for me. The brushed nickle is pretty true on the "color" and matches the rest of the brushed nickle appliances in the kitchen. The holder itself is sturdy enough for me. I originally had a towel holder shaped like ring (made in China) and it broke at the point where it attached to the over-the-door piece. This bar seems to be more substantial. I did have issues with the packaging. The zip ties used to hold it to the cardboard were so incredibly tight that scissors would not cut them, the box cutter didn't work, and I resorted to a Swiss Army knife. After several minutes, the knife not only went through the tie - it went through my hand as well. Dear packager - you REALLY don't have to make the zip tie THAT tight (almost a part of the metal)~!

Does the Job and More
I seriously don't know why there are so many types of towel holders available, but after exhaustive research, settled on this one. It fits on my 1960s era kitchen drawer without fuss, and is wide enough to hold a normal kitchen towel that is folded once down the long side. It is tidy and looks good, and has the benefit of opening the drawer with the towel! Negatives: NOT made in the USA (Couldn't find one), and the cabinet under it cannot open unless you flip the towel up and onto the counter (or remove it). I used to have a sticky plastic hook that was on the wood between the doors/drawers, and then had the trouble of looking for towels that had the diagonal fabric strip on one corner-surely cut out alot of towels!

THIS WILL WORK
FOR the right door, very sturdy and heavy, make sure u measure the place where you will place this wonderful product, this will work well over the kitchen cabinets like a charm. I wanted this for the bathroom in my son and guest room.

Perfect for thin doors!
I got two of these-1 for the bathroom and one for the kitchen.I live in an apartment where doors to cabinets are very thin ( I believe it's not really wood but medium density particle board). It worked great! I simply unscrewed the door handles as it got in the way and without really having to screw this to the door, it can work as door handle even with a towel on it.Before buying I considered the measurements for the hook that will hang on the door and even if it's not a perfect fit, it's the closest by far.It looks sturdy as well.I will take them if I ever have to move as they are perfect!

Great towel rack.
Hangs on my expensive cherry wood kitchen cabinets. But hasn't scratched it up, thankfully! I was really worried about that, as you spend so much money on new kitchen cabinets. I used to just hang the towel over the cabinet door, but that wasn't a good look, or good for the cabinet either, so sometimes it would get balled up on the counter, or folded - and therefore require washing more often. Now it can dry out and stay accessible at the same time. The only drawback I have with this unit is that it sometimes slides from one side to the other. However, as I mentioned - no scratches to the wood, not as of yet anyway and I've had these quite some time.

Quality Towel Bar
I had purchased a different towel bar, which was very thin and lightweight. Returned it. Ordered this one instead. Great quality and worth the money! I used to have this same one in brown. You can’t find these in stores anymore. I was so happy to find a well-made bar that will be used many times every day.

Works great on farm style sinks too
9/21/16 update: I have four of these on various sinks and all four are now rusting away. Looking for stainless steel ones next. These are all going in the trash :( I've been looking for an option to hang hand towels off our farm style/apron-front sinks and this item fit the bill perfectly (and goes very well with our higher end stainless steal brushed nickel door pulls). We have four of these sinks around our house and I bought one for each, so did notice a pretty good range in size on the part that goes over the sink (or cabinet), which worked out well enough for me since the sinks we have are all different thicknesses (they're fire-clay porcelain so no two sinks are alike). I did have to get one replaced as the connection where it was welded was not positioned properly when adhered, leaving the towel bar lopsided. Besides looking sloppy, it would have only been a matter of time before it fell apart. (Amazon had a new one out to me in 2 days, of course!) As it is, the welded connection is pretty small, so time will tell if one of these falls apart. Wish it was offered in a longer size so an average sized hand/kitchen towel could hang without being folded. But still, this is an improvement for us over leaving towels on all our counters. Plus, can't beat the price.

We wanted something unobtrusive so we could hang a dish towel near the kitchen sink. So easy to hide out of the way if you wish to keep things tidy. We leave it out most of the time as the towel gets used a lot.

We live in a rental unit so I did not want to put screws in the door. This was a good alternative.

I have a few of these…really like them. But had to return the last one for my mother’s place because her cupboard would not close properly with it on.
