What is the difference in the 2Ah and this 4Ah? What does the difference of 2Ah provide?

The difference is time. A 4AH battery will last twice as long when using it in the same electric device. Ampere is the amount of current used to power your device. Hour is the amount of time the battery will last. A device drawing 2amps of power consistently will last 1 hour (2 amps x 1 hours =2Ah) using a 2Ah battery and 2 hours (2 amps x 2 hours = 4Ah) using a 4 Ah. A 2 Ah battery could charge a device such as a cell phone for months because it take a small amount of power to charge.

80v 4.0ah when received showed two of three indicator lights on. after 16hr charging no difference. my 80v 2.0ah takes just 30 min. any suggestions?ty

The battery may be in recovery mode. If the battery has been stored for a long period of time, the charger will go into recovery mode, which will take 20 hrs to fully charge the battery. This will enhance the life of the battery. Once it is fully charged, the next charge will return to standard charging. Yes, the battery will fit into the Greenworks 80v snow thrower, however, the battery compartment door will not be able to close.

will this battery work in the chain saw- 18 inch

The 80 volt of all Amps work in all tools BUT the long ie more amps makes the chain saw a bit out of balance and doesn’t stay locked sometimes. But it will work. Likely for safety use up in a tree you really don’t want the battery to slide out. Plus the saw gets pretty heavy.     I have used green works since they started and own most every tool out there they worked.  I must say lawnmower on the 60 V and totally the best do now moving to 6 volt. It is sad that we can’t get all the features you get in 60v. With a much better than the 80v.  I was told by Greenworks that the 80 will not get dual blades.
