Perfect solution
This tray satisfied my needs perfectly. I was looking for a wide tray with a large amount of clearance, which was surprising difficult to find. I wanted to be able to slide the tray forward without hitting my fingers on the desk. I don't always use the tray in the locked position so if I dont hage enough clearance my fingers get continuously knocked into the desk. After months of patiently searching I did not find any desks that came with decent sized trays. It seems the standard for keyboard trays nowadays is 24" which is just useless in my opinion. I had a 27" that came with the desk I settled on and it barely fit my mouse and keyboard and my hand positioning was pinched and uncomfortable. I finally caved and bought a standalone tray to install myself and this one was the perfect choice. You can customize the clearance to be how you want. I went with the 30" tray. A lot of negative reviews seem to be the result of installation error. Mine is rock solid. You must be prepared to drill pilot holes and also consider buying different screws. Some have complained about the screws but screws literally cost pocket change at a local hardware store. If you buy this tray you are already committed to a custom installation you are performing yourself, so just go get good screws for the job. It's really not a huge deal. In the early 2010's desks with large keyboard trays with decent clearance were the norm. People still had the notion that a desk was meant to be used as, you know, a desk. Something you can read and write on. It became the standard in competitive PC gaming for the keyboard and tray to go on the desk with an enormous mousepad under everything. I understand why that makes sense for competitive gaming. It's a consistent and easily reproducible set up. But my desk is more than just a space for computer games. It makes no sense for me to have my entire desk taken up with computer hardware that could just as easily and neatly be slid underneath and out of the way. Anyway, rant over. This tray solved everything.

This made my ergonomics so much better. Hard to install, esp alone. But it's great.
I really like this, I had bought a new desk and the included keyboard tray wasn't wide enough for my mouse/tablet/ergo keyboard combo. I used my keyboard on top of the desk and ran into trouble with that, I needed better ergonomics. I got the wide model here, it was a challenge to install, I had to get a helper to rather uncomfortably for her hold up the tray while I used my screw gun to screw in the screws. I can't imagine doing this without a screw gun. It's a little shaky side to side, that's fine, when I'm typing on it it's rock solid. I had some problems with my previous keyboard setup on top of my desk, this is ergonomically far superior. Unlike other solutions, this one, my keyboard slides nicely under my desk and out of the way. The only slight downside to using this under a L-shaped desk, you really need to have the tray slid out fully to access the number pad and the mouse/tablet (on the left side for me). Those edges of the work area are under my desk if I only slide it out far enough to use the keyboard. And, not a knock, just my setup, I can't have the tablet under my mouse and slide the tray in, I have to remove my mouse and put it up on the desk. There is ample space under the desk for the keyboard and my rather tall Logitech sideways mouse. UPDATE bought in 10/23 broke in late 8/25 so I got two years out of it. I bought another one, I guess I kind of abused it, I discovered two of my mounting screws on the right side rail were not tight. So it was mounted a bit sloppy, but it was a warrior, I would put my gaming steering wheel on it and play games. So I would make sure the mounting is really solid, I guess getting two years out of it was OK, I'm not happy but this is the only tray wide enough for my Ergo keyboard and mousepad.

Nice, solid tray and looks nice once assembled, but a few minor flaws
This tray looks nice with my Cherry desk and provides a nice, stable typing surface. The 29" wide tray on the 30" version provides plenty of room for my full-size keyboard and mouse. Tray locks into either the fully-closed or fully-open position, which provides nice stability. The slides are smooth. There were, however, a few minor flaws. The screws that attach the bracket that mounts to the desk to the brackets on the slides go all the way through the brackets and stick out towards the keyboard tray. I'd say probably by about 1/8 of an inch. Additionally, some of the screws had manufacturing defects, particularly in regard to the black coating (paint?) on them. One of them had excess in the slots on the head that completely prevented a screwdriver from engaging the screw. Others had some excess blocking the gaps between threads. However, lots of screws were included (more than twice as much as needed,) so you could just not use the poorly-manufactured ones. While the tray does slide smoothly and seems plenty sturdy once fully assembled on the desk, I did notice that the attachment between the part of the rails that attaches to the desk and the part that holds the tray was not quite as sturdy as I'd have thought. After assembling the tray itself, but before mounting it to the desk, I had picked up the tray by the part of the rail that attaches to the desk on one end and the tray fell completely off of it. I thought at first that it might have broken, but thankfully it had not, just the two sides of the slide rail became detached. I was able to snap it back together and it still works fine. With all of that said, I'd still say this is a good keyboard tray and I certainly don't regret buying it. It works very well with my desk, provides plenty of space, and looks nice. Once fully installed on the desk, it seems plenty sturdy. A few other things to note in case you were wondering about dimensions, as shown in the attached pictures: Maximum gap between the bottom of the desk and the top of the tray is a bit less than 3 3/4". Distance between the outer edges of the brackets that mount to the desk on one side is around 10 1/8". This is the minimum clear depth you would need to mount it. Distance from the outer edge of the back bracket to the front edge of the rails (minimum clear depth needed to mount flush with front of desk) is around 11 1/2". The distance that the tray travels from fully-closed to fully-open is about 8 5/8".

Love this keyboard drawer! Works and looks great! Needs different size screws for rails! (SEE PICS)
First let me explain why I have given this 5 stars. I am not being compensated in any way by the seller or manufacturer of this item. I am just genuinely impressed and couldn't be happier with my purchase. This keyboard drawer was exactly what I was looking for. There are so many options out there for under desk keyboard drawers and determining which one is going to fit your desk and look right is the hardest part. This item did the job perfectly. There are a lot of reviews about this item being flimsy and poorly built. I agree/disagree with those reviews. The product itself looks great, it matches my desk to the point of looking like it came with it and if installed correctly has no issues locking in place when open or closed. The length that extends beyond the desk is relatively short for the size of surface space (as other reviewers have noted) , but all I need is my keyboard to be fully exposed when extended and it does that. My mouse stays on top of the desk. My desk has a 1-7/8" support bar close to the edge all of the way around and I was not sure that between the support bar, the height of my keyboard and distance that the keyboard drawer would drop down would work and allow the keyboard to pass under the bar, but it does perfectly. My only complaint is with the short and long wood screws that the manufacturer supplies with the desk. Neither of these screws are adequate. The instructions say to use the short or long screws (your choice) to attach the rails to the tray...neither of these screws remotely come close to fitting. The plastic insert that the screw should be digging into just spins and pushes further in when trying to screw the rails to the tray (they are not secured within the hole) . This leaves the rails very loosely attached (I could pull the screw straight out after attaching without unscrewing it and that is not a good sign). This could explain why there are so many reviews stating that the drawer is flimsy and not manufactured well. It felt like it would fall apart before I could even mount it to the desk using the supplied screws. I searched through some screws that I had and found that using four #8 x 1-1/4" Flat Head Phillips wood screws works perfect. Unlike the manufacturer supplied screws, these screws probably went beyond the plastic and all the way into the wood which made a tight secure hold. Once mounted to the bottom of the desk, it is very sturdy and firm. It doesn't have any more movement or wiggle than my roll top desk keyboard drawer had. NOTE TO THE MANUFACTURER - Please supply four (4) #8 x 1-1/4 inch Flat Head Phillips screws with your hardware package and customers won't have loosely attached rails anymore. The 5/8 inch and 3/4 inch that are currently supplied are perfect for mounting to the underside of the desk, depending on the thickness of the desk top, but are too short for the rails.

required installation adjustment
The product is nice, but it does not install as indicated. I had to drill additional holes in the metal because the product slide did not line up. I was able to use and like the product, but if you are not handy with tools and work arounds I would suggest finding another product. I saw a reference to this issue in reviews but thought it was a fluke. It wasn't.

It's good
It is good, simple. I didn't use a drill. Just a screw driver on a desk turned upside down. The biggest size( 30inches) is perfect to place to place an extra large mouse pad (27inches) for your keyboard and mouse. Nice wood like texture. The price is ok.

Sufficiently Workable -- for three days only!
This replaced a keyboard tray I had for about 15 years. The one thing I miss with this newer tray that the older one had was that it swiveled in the middle and I got accustomed to having the right side slightly higher than the left side (which is where my mouse is). This newer tray seems quite sturdy and glides forwards/backwards very easily yet stays in place when needed. I like that it is slighly wider than my older tray and does not have some cushion thing (aka. wrist rest) across the front edge which most all keyboard trays seem to come with. The very brief installation instructions could have been more clear at how to orient the side rails and brackets. I had to do some trial-and-error to get it right. Wonder if I will have this tray for the next 15 years! UPDATE: only had this keyboard tray a few days and it now seems worthless. I came in to my office and found that the left side of the tray came out of its track and crashed down. A trash can under that side kept it from totally hitting the floor (and probably prevented it from pulling out of the right side track too). Giving just one star now for such a poor product.

Well made, but just a suggestion
Was looking for a shelf to store 2 small laptops while charging. This worked out well for that purpose. Easy to assemble and comes with options for adjusting height to shelf above from which this one hangs. The unit could accommodate a 13" deep shelf but unfortunately only comes with a 10" one. I had to rig up an extension to work best for me. The wider models of this I believe come with the 13" deep shelf. If this came with the 13" shelf and a lip at the back to keep things from sliding off the back, it would have been perfect for my needs.

Solide pratique et joli
Belle planche.
