Crixus Spinning Combo, 3000 Reel, 6'6" M Rod

Caught my new PB bass 2nd use 5.3 it’s a great rod and real for the price

The rod appears well made, the graphite looks good, and it has a stiff-action at the rod tip which I like. The reel works very smooth and I especially like the anti-reverse feature at all points of retrieve. I fished it today and it equally handles lighter lures (rebel mini craw-fish) and heavier lures (5" plug). Provides nice hook sets and I am still getting used to fighting butt handle as this is the first rod of that type I have used. The combo was a bit heavy in my hand after the first use, but that would be due to my previously using ultra-light outfit. In choosing this larger model I would expect it to be heavier in my hand. One eye-let guide seems bent upwards, but it appears to be by design to transition to smaller eye-lets at rod's end (I've never used a rod with that design). Overall, I am pleased so far with the product.

Really well made. It's for sure study. Well made. Feel perfect it your hands. Smooth. Just a tad bit heavy. Great for bank fishing. EXTREMELY VERSATILE!

This rod broke on the first time I used it. Now they want to give me a refund and send it back. The problem with that is, I put $12 worth of line on the reel and the price of the rod is almost double now since I bought it 3 weeks ago. I have wasted an hour trying to get ahold of customer service to ask to just get a new rod sent to me, but thats not an option. So sick of the changes Amazon is making. I will keep trying, but wanted to warn anyone thinking about buying this rod!

I recently moved and am getting back into simple pond/lake fishing after 13 years without doing any fishing. Started with a$30 combo from a local shop, which I do still use, but upgraded to this combo during Christmas in July on Amazon. Very pleased with the smooth feel of the reel and rod seems quite sturdy for my use. I wanted something a bit better that my basic combo and for the price, around $75 on sale, I am quite pleased. Added some 12lb Kastking braided line and have been able to pull in nice catfish and bluegills. Finally was able to get a nice bass to hit today, 15" about 4lb which I landed no problem from the shore. For the money it's perfect for what I wanted.

I love this pole and I am so happy I purchased it. I usually get cheaper poles but this year I decided I wanted something better. I’m not disappointed. Great pole, great reel. The sensitivity is great, you really feel what’s going on and it’s got great casting. I got the 6’6” pole, and it’s the perfect size. I’ve already caught more fish, and more of a variety of fish with this pole then I’ve been getting with all my other poles.

Just got this for Christmas from the kids and can't wait for Spring. This is a 5 Star rod & reel set and for the money you can't beat it. The Crixus rod is so light it's like holding air. Love the 3000 white reel - it is smooth and looks like it'll last a lifetime. Oh yeah, and it came in packaging that kept it safe & sound. KastKing put some thought in to the delivery process. Highly recommended.
