Fabtron Lady Trail saddle
The Fabtron Lady Trail saddle is really nice. I'm old and needed a lighter weight saddle. I'm very pleased with the overall look of this saddle. It has a high cantle that helps hold me in the seat. The saddle is well made. I am very happy that I purchased it.

Scruple-LESS!!!
I think that sometimes events occur that leave us no recourse than to share our personal experiences so that others can avoid a similar bad one. The logo in this photo is one to avoid at all cost. I recently purchased a BRAND NEW saddle made by this company. The stirrup "sleeve" was defective causing the stirrup to come free while riding. This is a serious defect that could lead to injury and death of both horse and rider. I emailed the company. They asked for photos. I sent them. They denied that anything was wrong. I took the saddle back to the shop from which I purchased it. They looked at the problem part and "weren't sure what they could do" about it. I, then, phoned the company directly. I spoke to the "boss". He said that what he would "do for me" was to replace the part if I would pay the shipping. I agreed. I received the part in a few days. I've ridden in the saddle twice now, and the stirrup seems to now be safe and secure. Today, I received an invoice/receipt in the mail from the company showing that the whole amount was charged to my credit card, not just the shipping. I just got off the phone with the same "boss", and he completely denied his agreement to replace the defective part for free. He outright lied, AND he stole unauthorized funds from my credit card acct.I'm warning everyone who may be looking for a new western saddle to avoid this unscrupulous company that places little, if any, importance on the safety of those who purchase their product(s).I'm asking all of my horse friends to share this post so that this company knows that we riders demand safety, reliability, and most of all HONESTY from the companies that serve us.

FABTRON LIES!!!!
DO-NOT-BUY-THIS-SADDLE!!!!! I purchased this Fabtron saddle for my Tennessee Walker. It arrived 2 weeks late. I SPECIFICALLY asked if it could be RETURNED if it did not fit. They said YES as long as I tried it on the horse with a blanket and did not actually use the saddle. I did EVERYTHING they asked me too, but when it did not fit and I sent it back (IN THE ORIGINAL BOX WITH THE ORIGINAL PACKAGING AND NOT HAVING USED THE CINCH!!) They refused to take it back!!!!! It Cost me $80 to ship it back, and NOW they LIEDDDDD and said it was used!! I had the saddle, tried it on and returned it IN THE SAME WEEK!!!!! USED-I don't think so!!!! Not to mention it's mostly nylon and "FAKE"!!!!! Leather!!!!! DO-NOT-BUT-THIS-SADDLE!!!!!!!

Fabron Lady Trail - the favorite saddle
I needed to replace an old 15" Ralide tree saddle that didn't fit my lesson mare very well. I chose the Fabron Lady Trail because it's light, ergonomic, and has all of the trail fittings I need. It was unexpected that I would like this saddle so much. Mostly I use it when I have guests or give riding lessons and nearly every person who's been in a saddle before thinks it's the most comfortable saddle they've ever sat in. Even the guys liked the comfort but I saved them the embarrassment of telling the that it's a LADY trail. PROS - light, fits my stock-horse type mare well, comfortable, easy to maintain, nicely outfitted for trail riding, well built, and a nice deep seat for a secure feeling. CON (only one) - because the fenders are not leather they don't 'train' well for the correct perpendicular position to the horse like leather does. Sometimes the rider has to lean down to turn the stirrup so they can get their foot in (a little unsafe, IMHO). But because the fenders are flexible it's not hard on the knees like an untrained leather fender. I would buy this saddle again - maybe the flex tree version for a more universal fit. (although it fits my QH and Paint just fine)

Not a fair deal
I recently purchased a Fabtron saddle through horse.com and could not be more dissatisfied. I returned the saddle because fter trying it on my horse for just five minutes, I realized that it would not work. I returned it according to Fabtron's published directions, in the original wrapping, hair-free, unscratched or used because it was just on the horse for fitting. I was told by a horse.com customer service rep that if I returned it in that condition there would be no restocking fee. When I was indeed charged a 25% restocking fee each company said it was the other company's "policy" to charge a restocking fee. When confronted with the conflicting stories, Fabtron changed its story and said the saddle was "used." When I asked how they could sell saddles online and not expect people to put them on a horse to check the fit, a Fabtron executive told me not to buy online but to go to an authorized dealer. This from a guy who is selling sddles online ecerywhere. At any rate, I am out nearly $200 on the saddle. I strongly advise you not to buy a saddle through horse.com or Fabtron.
