good call
This seems to be a good call and was shipped promptly, but it will take a lot of practice to master it. I have watched the how to video and the makers are very confident in it, but they have obviously had lots of practice.. It is very hard to learn how to use this call! period. I think after months of practice maybe I would blow it in the woods but not now because it would scare off every gobbler in the county! It sounds like a party horn if you blow too hard.

Finest Gobble call on the market!
I purchased this call a few months back. My first try at sounding like a long beard was, at best, was more like a party horn. I almost gave up on this call but with a little tutoring I began to get it. This call is tricky to learn but once you get the technique down, it is the finest call on the market. The DownNDirty Haint is the only call that I have tried that actually sounds like a turkey gobble. I have now mastered the call and am anxious to put it to work this spring.

It sounds to much like a party horn
I cannot get the same sound effect as the opearators in the video. It sounds to much like a party horn. They should change the reed or chamber to make it easier to use out of the box. I have put in a lot of time with this call and still do not have it perfected.

Hard to make it work
I know several other turkey hunters who have purchased the Haint and all any of us can get out of it is a poor version of a duck call. Obviously, we are not doing the right thing. It would be great if the manufacturer included a DVD with calling instruction. You would think they could afford to include a DVD for the price they charge for this call. Or even offer one at an additional small charge.

gobble gobble
This call is very handsome, lightweight, and sturdily made. There is a pretty fair learning curve to learn how to use it, but after a few hours, I think I am already getting the hang of it. If you go to the company's webpage, there is a 8 minute video that talks about how to use it; very simple and to the point and very, VERY helpful. I am looking forward to getting in the woods with this call in a couple of weeks to see how it really works.

The Haint "aint!"
I'm an avid turkey hunter, and member of NWTF. I use many type of mouth calls, owl hooters, crow calls, etc. effectively. Bought this last year, even though it is expensive. Thought I could work this call after watching the promo video. No way! I practiced with it extensively to try and master it. During NWTF get togethers with local chapter members and helping other turkey hunters I hear similar comments that the call doesn't work as advertised, and is extremely hard to master. My advice is try some less expensive shaker type calls. They sound better.

Do not buy
I ordered this call base on watching it used in an advertisement. It seemed to be a good idea, but after receiving it and trying it, I was totally disappointed with the resulting sound. It is too expensive as well as not a good product. Save your money. They do not even bother to send you a cd on how to use it or anything. You have to go to their website to see the instructions. For the cost of this call that is totally ridiculous! If I could I would give it 0 stars.

good call if you can manage to figure out the sound
This could be a great product. It is very hard to use if you can't make a specific sound. Wish the online video would have been more specific to this fact.
