Once adjusted, it is quite easy to move the monitor to different position I see earlier reviews (2018) states that the monitor were hard to position. The piston has to be adjusted to just off set the weight of the monitor.. The arms are stiff when received. I slowed released the pressure until the arms were easy to move about. Then I mounted to the desk, and added the monitors. Once the fixture is mounted. increase the gas pressure to lift the monitor up and still remain easy to move about.2) The Arms are independently mounted to the base , so each monitors can be adjusted vertical at different height3) Other gas assist mounts are 2 - 3 x more expensive.

Pros: easy to assemble, gives a great range of motion for the price, easy to adjust, and good built in cable management. Multiple attachment options.Con: you get what you pay for.I have a 27inch and 24inch monitor mounted. This was easy to put together. And it just works. I haven’t had time to figure out how to use the internal usb cables mount(not included) yet or if any plain extension will work but it is on the list of to-do’s. I used the clamp mount options for now until I figure out where I want this on my desk. Kit came with a way(drilling required) to directly mount to the desktop itself.I have seen and used better mounts but I bought this for my home and my employer wasn’t paying for it so... I went with this. Best $50 I’ve spent recently.Recommendation: when running cables through the arms, leave some slack at joints.

Unpacked it and found a very high quality unit. I didn't even have to adjust the tension. I previously had my dual monitors mounted to a wall, next to each other, with the Amazon mounts (also excellent). I now have a corner desk and these mounted just fine to my desk.The comments about needing a 1.5" thick surface weren't correct. You only need to adjust the mounting bracket. It's obvious when you see it, so I won't belabor you with the details.Been up for 2 months now and working fantastic.

One of the arms died on me. It's lifting out of the base. There is no way to tighten so far. Makes the entire monitor wobble. I am using small light monitors so it's not a weight issue. When I move the monitor the wobble is really bad and getting worse. Amazon's warranty only goes 6 months. So be careful with this item because it may not last a lifetime. I use monitors and adjust them frequently so maybe if you leave it be then it may work for you.

This dual monitor stand has been great! It is well constructed, mounts easily to my table an holds my monitors up firmly with ease. The price for this makes it a NO BRAINER! It's is to set the tension with the included tool and the finish quality is excellent. Perfect for home office.

the unit was strong and durable the only problem for my son was the range of movement required 2 much cleaRANCE FROM THE WALL.

Easy to assemble and frees up some space on my desk; I like how the monitors 'float' above the desk.I'm glad I got this.
