Purchased this for our bedroom so my husband can see the time without his glasses. The clock had different brightness intensities, all of which are nice, but we leave it at the brightest since the red lighting doesn’t bother us. Display is clear, defined and the numbers are large enough to view from 6 feet away, maybe more! Keeps perfect time; we haven’t used the alarm beyond an initial test because we don’t need an alarm. Also it was necessary for the clock to work by batteries. This fit the bill!

I was planning on writing a review once the batteries finally died, two D sized batteries, which I assumed would've happened within a year of purchase. Two years and two months later, the clock finally quit. I used the brand of batteries that we all know by name that starts with a "D" for the record. I remember it taking a long time for me to find this product; I needed a NON-plug-in type of digital clock for a small room. Finally found this one, and it fit what I needed perfectly: good sized red numbers on a black background that I could hopefully see during the day without the plug-in power. It was perfect size and as long as it's not in direct sunlight, can easily read it on sunny days in a moderately shaded room. Could likely see it in a full sun room but would need to have it closer and obviously not in direct sunlight. Funny thing, I found out only when I just replaced the batteries that it apparently has three brightness settings, tho is still hard to tell (possibly only two settings). I *may* have had it set to a lower brightness this whole time, hence the batteries lasting full two years... ...with only ONE time that I had to advance the clock a minute to catch up. So it lost only just over a minute during the two years. And for the last month, it finally peetered out by having the display get more and more dim until there was finally no display. Changed the batteries, set to highest bright setting, and it's great again. It'll go down in Amazon buying history as a "top-ten-percentile best-products" list for me. It's so difficult to find the red/black clocks that are battery powered at this size and can readily be seen in most lighting conditions. A useful, helpful, and long-lasting product at a reasonable price; not inexpensive, but fairly priced based on lack of this specific type of product on the market (battery powered and good size/colors). Over two years later, very happy, great product. Would buy again in a second, and will in the near future when I move and need another clock for another room. Huge cheers!

We like this large LED clock. Because it's battery powered, we can put it anywhere on a shelf, book case, or sideboard. The large bright numbers are easy to read from anywhere in the room, yet are not intrusive at night. We use it in our bedroom. We like it and think it's a good deal.

Love the large numbers. Only negative, is that it can be a bit of a pain to set or adjust. Would buy this item again.

This is a great little clock. I liked my first one so much that I bought four more for various spots in my house that were clockless. The clock is small, the digital readout is large and easy to read from across the room. It was easy to set up. The readout dims at night do it’s not intrusive but can still be read. I highly recommend it.

I bought 3 of these for my MIL. Both black and white framed. She wanted a few clocks that’d be easier to read from across the room, even if the room was dim. She’s been very happy with these. She really has no negatives to “report”. The things she likes most?… They can be dimmed, so even in her bedroom, it doesn’t disturb her. The “green” digits - she finds them easy to read without being as “in your face” like the red seem to be. The size is exactly what she wanted. The option of turning the flashing seconds indicator dots on or off - she likes “on” for the kitchen, “off” for the bedroom. They can be hung or just set upright on a table, counter, or shelf. For myself? I like that the setting options on the clock are simple enough that you don’t need to find and drag out the manual if it needs adjusting. I also like that they're lightweight, so a small brad or hook is plenty sufficient for wall hanging. They don’t seem to be huge battery hogs (that’ll be effected by your settings) - she’s had them several months and the original batteries are still going strong.

Great clock and easy to read in the dark.

I'm not sure why this is rated so high. On the highest brightness setting, it is not readbale at all during the day (not in direct sunlight, just a bright room), and barely unreadable at night. The font size and the look are excellent, but it is basically unuseable.

What a great purchase, just what we wanted, a bedroom clock with large LED lit-up digital time display that can be seen from a distance. We don't need to use the alarm feature, just want to be able to see the time without having the bright light right next to us. Takes two medium-sized batteries that should last one year. Simple design and very simple to set up... we are so delighted.

Huge screen for my visually impaired mother who is happy she can read the time now. On/off button was at the front of the alarm making it easier for her to find. I used a black sharpie to make the button stand out for her. Very easy to set up. Perfect for her needs.
