ScubaproGhost Dive Mask with EZ Open Strap

Bought my first ghost off a friend. Just fits my face well. Bought this as a back up to keep in my but pouch. Great quality product.

I love the fit and feel of this mask the “ghost is just that, I forget about it, as you should with a good mask. I did have to clean it like five different times to get it to stop fogging up like crazy. Once I got it clean, it’s a foggy memory, and a non issue. Ok, that being said, five years later and many hours under the surface, the ez strap is stuck and I have to pry the clips/buttons apart to get it not to slip, this just started. In conclusion great mask with an ok strap that I used to love, however I will have to toss a side as a spare that I will adjust once and leave alone , as not to have the hassle of being in the surf looking for something pointy to pry them into the up position to lock the strap in place. I would recommend this mask as i said “I love it”. But with no way to dismantle the retention clip for cleaning the ez strap will eventually be stuck open, rendering it useless.

Trust me, I really wanted to love ScubaPro, the name is nifty and it’s endorsed heavily by the gold standard learning course, PADI. I brought this mask to a certification course happy as a clam about it, but immediately and throughout the 3 hours, it fogged up and remained fogged up! I applied anti-fog a dozen times and it was still fogging up. The EZ strap is very easy, so easy, it just keeps adjusting when it’s bumps! And after considering it, once your mask is adjusted, you should never really need to adjust it again. Also, regulators can sort of sit behind your neck and looking up can knock the EZ strap. The experienced instructors kept asking me if my mask was adjusted correctly and it left a line on my face after getting adjusted too tightly. Flooding and clearing the mask wasn’t as easy as it should be. The silicone trim is a bit rigid so flooding it usually means a ton of water and pushing hard to clear. My instructor advised me that the brand used to be much better under previous ownership, and they are very overpriced for the quality nowadays. I went to their dive shop, spent an additional $20 for a Tusa mask with freedom film and I’m never looking back. A mega upgrade! Didn’t fog ONCE! And the Tusa silicone was so soft and flexible flood/clearing was a breeze. Sad to say, ScubaPro might be considered SnorkelPro here on out in my eyes. I won’t return the mask, but I might offer it to an unknowing friend if they need to borrow a mask. Go to a local dive shop instead.

I bought this one as it seemed to be perfect for me. I just wish I would have tested it out before diving with it. I actually ended up getting bruising on the bridge of my nose as the mask was a little too tight. I was able to adjust it and "make it work" but could have been much better if the nose spot was a little bigger. I decided to not return the mask because I like it so much, I've figured out a little gel around my nose fixes the issue.Every other feature is awesome. We were getting certified to 100ft so we had to do a lot of mask related tasks, flood the mask, take it off, clear it and the like. I've done these task before but haven't had as easy of a time like I did with this one. Very easy to adjust underwater.The view portal is great as I felt I had decent peripheral vision and the lens was clear. Like any mask it'll take a while to get it to not fog. By the end of our week of diving, 11 total dives, it was working awesome.

Did quite a bit of research to find this product and was pretty happy when it arrived. It’s light, frameless and simple.Then I tried it on and it fogged up instantly. I knew I had to do some cleaning to get off the manufacturing residue as per most masks but even after extensive (but careful) cleaning and treatment with 2 leading anti-fogging cleaners it still fogged up! Within 3-4 minutes you need to flush it with water again.Got some other people to try in case it had something to do with the fit on my face. They had the same issue.Looks good but just useless for what it’s meant to do.

This mask is so great , that even got stolen from me :) so now I need to buy another one.

trotz der mittelmäßigen Bewertungen habe ich diese Taucherbrille gekauft und musste im ersten Moment feststellen das die Kritik punkte, die Taucherbrille schlägt an und das Glaß kann die stirn berühren beide zutrafen.Was dagegen tun?Nun manche Taucherbrillen, gerade solche, haben einen Silikonnebel. Gerade wenn sie neu sind beschlagen sie deshalb auch sofort.Tipp 1: es gibt spezielle Reinigungsmittel, damit muss man den Silikonnebel von den Gläsern putzen. (es geht auch Essigessenz aber bitte bitte, das ausspülen danach nicht vergessen. Wichtig ist auch, keine scharfen oder spitzen Gegenstände zum putzen her nehmen.)Tipp 2: Ein Taucher spuckt vorher in seine Maske und verteilt den Speichel. Dieser unterbindet das Beschlagen der Gläser. Wem das zu Eklig ist kann auch hier wieder speziell etwas kaufen.Wenn ihr diese BEIDEN Tipps befolgt sollte die Brille nicht mehr beschlagen.Was das Problem mit der Stirn angeht, ich habe das Halteband etwas lockerer gemacht. Man kann die Taucherbrille auch so einstellen und herum probieren bis es geht. Beim Tauchen hat es dadurch auch keine Probleme gegeben.Fazit:Die Probleme sind vorhanden, lassen sich aber mit einfachen Kniffen beheben. Ich würde die Brille jeden weiter empfehlen der eine gute Sicht und auf sehr guten Halt und damit auch Dichtigkeit der Brille aus ist.

I bought this mask for the single lens, but it is just too close to my eyes. My eyelashes brush the lens when I dive. It kept the water out great, but I think it just might be for smaller people.
