101 Kids Activities That Are the Bestest, Funnest Ever!: The Entertainment Solution for Parents, Relatives & Babysitters!

I saw this review by Parent Magazine and I pulled the trigger. My copy came in the mail yesterday (thanks Amazon!) My husband and I looked through this book and we were BOTH impressed. I've seen a lot of craft books before and this is fresh and different but BRILLIANT because the materials are common, can be easily attained and a lot of the ideas are SIMPLE! Some things you will be familiar with but the ones you are not familiar with that the kids can actually do independently (I have kids b/w 9-2 years old) pays for itself! I love that there are modifications for older/younger kids. I LOVE that you can even look up stuff like "plaster of paris" or "pipe cleaners" and go to an activity that involves THAT material! It makes it easy to use up left over material that you do not know what to do with. The only suggestions for improvement are: 1) I wish the index was even more comprehensive with ingredients (i.e. "corn syrup") 2) MORE photos

Great book with lots of easy, simple ideas that make a parent say - "why didn't I think of that?" Wide variety of projects and ideas for a wide variety of ages. I found many things for my 2 and 4 year old, and lots of ideas I will save for later as they get older! Great Parenting resource to keep on the shelf - especially for those rainy days. No need to go out and spend lots of money - many of the ideas require just everyday items found around the house (maybe some pack rat supplies). Super frugal way to have fun with the kiddos.

This book has been my summer bible. My kids ages 5 & 4 are not in camp this year and I was so afraid of having them home and bored. Thanks to 101 Kids Activities they are so happy to be home! They know after chores we get to do an activity and it makes them so excited to finish up to see what we will do that day. I made a jug filled with papers of just the title of the project. Whoever finishes their chores first gets to pick the activity from the jar. I can not tell you how happy I am that I purchased this. We have a happy, clean, and fun home, which means less stress for mommy! Great job on this book! It has saved my summer!

I follow the authors on facebook and they have awesome ideas for kids on their page so I decided to buy the book. It is a good book but I was slightly disappointed that it tailors to mostly older kids. They do always have a younger modification but overall there's not a lot I can do with a 2 year old in it. However, its a great book with so many creative ideas. I would highly recommend it.

My whole family is obsessed with this book! It's so wonderful to have easy and engaging activities at our fingertips--I love to see my kids flipping through the book and discussing which activity to try next! It's full of fun and engaging ideas that are easy to set up for kids of all ages which makes it perfect for all types of settings. We even plan to bring our with us on vacation and I've already bought copies for all my friends. No more "I'm boreds!" this summer!

I was hoping my 9 year old would enjoy doing these activities with my 5 year olds. None of them got very excited about anything. It's a nice book but didn't really do much for us.

IMO, this is a ten-star book. Most crafts can be done by a four-to-five year old, or enhanced for a child with more experience doing crafts, or increased to higher difficulty for older, more capable children. We included nine gifts in the box containing this book. The eight-year old boy who received this book (and nine items to help him get started crafting) told his parents it was his favorite Christmas gift this year, because it had lots of fun activities. Excellent book to keep your youngsters busy using their imaginations, reading with comprehension, & learning to follow directions.

My. Favorite. Creative. Book. For. Kids. I loved so many projects in this book! Very practical things that can turn into loads of fun for my toddlers! And I loved, loved, loved how very project had modifiable steps to it that helped make it easier for younger children and more difficult for old kids. Definitely a worth-while investment!!

I actually bought this to have at home for my kids because I used to use it all the time when I worked in a big child care center. Theres lots of activities to do and most can be modified based on age

Wird in den Top zehn Büchern für den Vorschulbereich in England geführt. Ich habe es als Geschenk für die Lehrerin der Grundschulförderklasse bei uns besorgt. Trotz der englischen Sprache ist es gut verständlich. Sehr gut sind die vielen kleine und große Ideen eben für den Vorschul- und Grundschulbereich. Die Materialien sind nicht zu abwegig und die Ergebnisse sind für kurze und längere Bastelstunden einsetzbar.

I had been really looking forward to this book as I'm a keen reader of Kids Activities Blog where they share loads of great kids activities and crafts, and it did not disappoint. It's so bright and fun and the best thing for me is that the activities are easy and realistic. They do not require a million different supplies which are hard to track down, it's mainly things which you already have at home. They also give modifications for older and younger kids, which is really handy. I'm looking forward to doing all of the activities with my kids! I have also given a copy of this to one of my friends and will be buying as a gift for another friend too - it's perfect to help fill the days during the summer holidays
