This vmarketing wall clock is nice. The setup was a bit of a challenge but the instructions are actually decent. You must pay close to the instructions and do as the instructions say. YouTube is not your friend when it comes to this wall clock. I have learned that physically moving the hour hand will cause the hand to slip out of socket, and once this happens you now have a non functioning wall piece. If you follow the instructions it will be a nice addition to your area you choose for it. I have to say the battery box is difficult to access. It does keep time well. The value for the money is great for me. It does what it suppose to and I’m happy with my purchase. Thanks Amazon!Update: A year later and my clock is functioning fine. I had to make a few adjustments to get the time and chime to sync. I think my battery for the chime needed to be changed after about a year. I stated above it can be difficult replacing batteries but it’s doable. This time around my adjustments that worked FOR ME…. to keep my clock functioning properly was to ustilize the adjustment knob found on the back of the clock to adjust the time much as possible. The instructions can be challenging so FOR ME….. before any batteries go into the clock set the hands to what the instructions say. I believe it reads 6:50 am set the hands preferably with the adjustment knob, however if you choose to utilize the hour and min hands that can lead to the hour hand coming off track and falling into the face of the clock. If that happens it’s not a big problem if you have patience. I fixed mine by setting the hour hand back into its groove by hand for me I put it back in place with one hand and pressed down on the hour hand with the other until it slip back into the groove. Once I did that it seated the hour hand just below the minute hand. So I say again if you can utilize the adjustment knob for time much as possible. The next issue I ran into was once I set time now the chime was outta sync. My fix to that was I utilize the adjustment knob and went thru 12 o’clock and kept up with the chimes until I got to the desired time. Remember it has a night shut off from 10pm -5 am. So if it start chiming correctly and during the day it stops you will have to go thru the steps again and flip it and pass thru the 12oclock and same as before keep count of the chimes and once it set to time by the number of chimes you should be all set. All in all it’s a good clock for me. One other thing happened to mine was if it’s bumped or touched it could stop the pendulum from swinging I just made sure it was level and gave it a lil swing and seems fine this far. I must say the build quality could use a little work as mine the top piece comes off so try not to grab it by the tallest piece. Again I have had mine for about a year and still working properly.

Let's get the reason to buy this lovely clock out of the way first. It is beautifully rendered in color, quality, and aesthetics, the price is accurately reflected in the product itself. No complaints from me or my husband, it is an accurate rendition of a grandfather clock on your wall.... with all the warm childhood nostalgia that it brings back.The chimes could be louder, you will hear the chimes in adjacent rooms but not beyond is our experience.The sweep hand does tic with each second but you have to be within a foot to actually hear it, however, it does sync tic sound with movement as the pendulum swings.Now for the little niggly part, the set up. I read all the previous comments especially the one that said just follow the directions, okay got it. Hmm, yeah it was still was a slippery slope. The order of placement of the batteries is crucial, you must put the time mechanism batteries in first before the chime box.Bottom line: NEVER PUT THE BATTERIES IN UNTILL YOU HAVE COMPLETED THE TASKS FIRST...AND THEN PUT ALL 4 BATTERIES IN AT THE SAME TIME STARTING WITH 2 IN THE CLOCK MECHANISM FIRST THEN THE TWO IN THE CHIME BOX AFTER....you will be rewarded on your first try.I hope I can make this very clear. Read the directions very carefully a few times through and realize the 2 methods given will work once you understand that the clock's starting point of orientation is always 6:50am. ALWAYS. The clock can't see time from any other point to start with and you will inevitably have to go from method A to method B to correct the chime/time imbalance, if you didn't wait to PUT ALL 4 BATTERIES IN ABSOLUTELY LAST AND IN THE ORDER SAID ABOVE.If you did slip up, in order to save yourself all that rigamarole of having to press the set button over and over again with each passing hour and then realizing now its not chiming/striking at all because the clock thinks it in the off hours of 9pm-5am and it's virtually 2pm.Just do this instead, wait to make your clock operational at 6:50am, the clocks own internal foundational starting point.At 6:50am, set the clock to that time moving the hands clockwise with the little knob in the back, set the toggles to the mode you desire, turn up the volume all the way and toggle the next choice in line to the on position for the chimes or to off if you don't. The volume and chime option are already in the loudest and on position as default. THEN put the batteries in, 2 in the timing mechanism inside the box and 2 in the external box with poles correctly inserted as pictured. The clock will immediately start the chimes as selected and will strike 6 times. Again, dont think this is a mistake, its not, the clock is just verifying for you it's in the 6 o'clock hour and in ten minutes it will be the 7th hour of the day and it will then chime and strike 7 times, voila success the first time.However, if you messed up the first time and this is a do over restart at 6:50 am the next day, (like I had to do), take the batteries out, reset to 6:50am AT 6:50am, replace the batteries in the order as stated you won't hear any chimes or strikes until the hour is 7am, at which time the clock will chime and strike 6 times, let it finish its chime and strike completely then push the set button once per the method B instructions, and low and behold the 8th hour is spot on, lovely chime and 8 strikes!!!! Has been perfect ever since.

brought this clock for my living room to add some classical touch. Perfect fit. Ordered some Bedford clocks, from another major retailer other than Amazon, that were similar, but either the order canceled, the product was delivered late or not all. The bedford clock did not operate properly and needed to be returned to the retailer.The Amazon vmarketingsite clock is everything as described. Beautiful appearance, blends in with the furniture and decore of my living room. The seller was courteous to provide operating/installation instructions prior to delivery allowing me to understand the clock's features. Clock arrived in secure easy to remove packaging that also included instructions. Instructions were easy to understand and implement. Once I got the time set and synchronized with the strike/melody, the clock operates seamlessly. So pleasant to listen to the Westminster chime/strike tune. Volume and chime settings are easily adjusted. This is a clock well worth purchasing and the price point is very reasonable. Recommend this timepiece with the highest possible rating.

This clock is really beautiful to look at. It keeps perfect time and the chimes are nice, not tinny. It has 4 options for chimes . I chose Ave Maria and chimes for each hour.You can choose it to chime every 15 minutes also or turn off chimes all together. You can also adjust how loud. Love it.

I purchased this clock for a friend. She was absolutely thrilled when she opened the box. It was beautiful and fit perfectly with their decor. Problem #1.: The description on Amazon said nothing about it being run by batteries or what kind so we thought it was a wind-up clock which is what she wanted. Problem #2: After four members of her family all tried to make it work according to the directions, they still could not get it to chime when it was supposed to. After two days of trying they finally gave up and decided to send it back. Problem #3. With no access to a printer, UPS store, or participating Kohl's, they finally decided to take it back to the Post Office it was delivered to. The attendant found an address on the box and made up a return address label. The advertisement on Amazon said "Free Return" but it ended up costing her $37+ dollars. Now we are hoping it finds its way back to the place from whence it came, and I in turn receive credit. Lesson learned - Next time we will shop at a store where hopefully there will be someone to talk to if problems arise.

The good news: the clock keeps time well, the design is nice with a door that opens in the front, allowing easy clock hand adjustments. The bad news: every time I take the clock down to access the back the front door flops open. The magnet holding it shut is not very strong. The clock does not come with practical or useful instructions, and in my case the chime options are not as described in the Amazon description, there were scratches on one side of the frame, and it took a full day trying to figure out how to make the chimes match the actual time. I contacted the company asking for help, and I still haven't heard back from them. I finally figured it out, but the chime options are bogus. Two are similar Westminster chimes, 1 is a sprinkle-tinkle, and the 4th rings twice on the hour, sounding exactly like my doorbell and driving my dog and myself crazy. What's the matter with just one ring for each hour? No one needs 2 ring tones for each hour. I'm still evaluating it for any additional problems, and weighing my option to return it and getting my money back.
