LEGOHero Factory Jet Rocka

This is a great Hero Factory set. It seems like Rocka is a favorite of the Lego designers considering how many "big" sets he's had the past (including my personal favorite of all time, Rocka XL). Even though this is not an XL set, I believe this is the second largest HF set made so far. Interestingly, this is one of the best value HF sets since the price on this set ranges from $25-$35, roughly 10 cents/piece. There is a handle in the back with a red trigger that moves the entire wing and plasma launcher assembly easily -- a really great design. My kid can easily hold Rocka and zoom around the house. Rocka is also designed to be able to stand BY HIMSELF. Also the wings can split or come together between the grey and green pieces. There are NO rubber-bands to make the pieces move (which I think is great since rubber-bands degrade over time if they are not lost beforehand).Rocka himself is fairly plain, but does have the complete 4 fang breast plate assembly and the flip face mask. In order to size Rocka appropriately for the set, Lego uses a longer black torso base piece than is standard. However, as long as you have a flat back with two available holes, you can stick most standard HF's in the jetpack.My kid thinks this is a great set, and I concur wholeheartedly.Rear assembly pictures taken, but Amazon has disabled picture posting for this item as of now :(

Fast shipment, as advertised, much better price than any retail stores. 5 and 7 year olds got from Santa and spent half a day building. Since have taken apart and put together many times. Favorite gift!

My son (7) really loves this figure, but it was REALLY hard to put together. The directions seemed to have a misprint which complicated things.

We got this toy for our 5 year old who went ape over it. For a five year old, the parents are essential in assembling the robot/toy. My son had a great time putting the pieces together AS WE DIRECTED HIM. His participation definitely slowed down the assembly process. But the point is to enjoy spending time together, right?Umm...Anyway, a couple steps in the instructions are not intuitive resulting in stifled, jaw-clenching craziness. I'm generally pretty good at figuring things out, putting things together, and using my hands. I would say I am awesome to above-awesome. My wife is almost awesome at these things, definitely above average. She is also funny and cute.... until she gets frustrated with the instructions. Then suddenly, not so cute.Pros:Builds character for the entire family.Cons:Builds character for the entire family.It is only a matter of time until the 2 green balls are lost by my boys. But, hey, not my problem.

This was much better than what I was expecting. I bought it for my 7 year old son's birthday. It was pretty complicated comapred to previous Hero Factories that he has but he managed it ok without too much help from me. The wings move with a trigger mechanism at the back which we weren't expecting. It was a nice surprise. The price was pretty good too for the complexity involved. I recommend this unit for any 7 year old. It might be a little tricky for younger kids, but it is rated for age 8 and above afterall.

I gave this as a gift to my nephew. He loves it!! Pretty large set for the price compared to most lego boxes. Maybe because the hero pieces are bigger?

Funny thing is, I didn't even build the original product, I just looked up a build on youtube and made something a bit more epic. Sure, the blades are bent, but I've come to expect that lately. Regardless, I had fun building what I built and adding it to my collection.

My son truly enjoyed this toy. Jet Rocka transforms, great toy to play with, and you will also enjoy this toy.
