FEL-PRO VS 50542 R Engine Valve Cover Gasket Set for Toyota Corolla

Good quality gasket, fits perfectly and works as intended. I cleaned all the old oil leaks off the cylinder head and surrounding areas right before replacing this gasket to be sure it was 100% fixed, so I can say it definitely stopped the oil seeping from my 2000 Corolla’s valve cover . This is like a 20 minute job if you have basic automotive repair skills such as changing spark plugs or brake pads, so don’t be afraid to DIY it. I’ve always had good luck with Fel-Pro gaskets, especially valve cover gaskets. As a professional mechanic and automotive enthusiast I’ve found that there are very few automotive applications where Fel-Pro gaskets aren’t the best choice available. I wouldn’t buy any other brand of gasket unless you want to spend extra buying OEM from the dealer.

Fits 2006 Corolla perfectly. Added a minuscule amount of gasket maker to get it to adhere to engine cover when changing gasket. Stops oil leaks.

Great OEM product that's sold at the big stores as replacement. Don't get the cheap gaskets, I tried one and it leaked. This one is noticeably higher quality and shaped to seal better

The install went smoothly on my 2005 Toyota Corolla, the replacement gasket fit as it showed on the listed and all the spark plug and grommet gaskets also fit perfectly. The quality was as good as OEM at a fraction of a cost, and it included everything needed to complete the job. The oil leak from the engine valve stopped immediately after install so really good item to use on aging cars.

Just installed this over the weekend, and it was pretty straight forwards as expected. I've driven about 400 miles since installing it, and I haven't noticed any leaks in the valve cover. All seems well. The only small thing about this gasket is that it didn't quite fit. So I had to use some rtv to hold it into the grove on the valve cover gasket. A VERY thin bead is all it needed, and it sealed right up for the install. Great product, and I've always loved fel-pro products. I'm installing an intake manifold gasket, an exhaust manifold gasket, and an oil pan gasket from them this weekend!

Solved my oil leak problem and was cheaper that the local parts house.... I'm happy

Fits in my corolla, had to have it replaced after 240k miles. Feels good so far. Fairly simple install. Just followed a video on youtube
