Solder-It - ScrewGrab Friction Gel - Helps Grip Damaged Screw Heads - 0.5 fl. Oz

I had stripped the head of a very tiny hex screw (1/16) and was worried that it was stuck. Thankfully, this product helped me remove it. Part of the reason the screw was stuck was because it was first installed with blue loctite. Full disclosure, with this friction gel I still wasn't able to remove it at first. I actually had to use a soldering @260F on the head of the screw for a few seconds to degrade the loctite. After that, this gel worked perfectly, providing enough grip to remove the screw with ease. Just be aware that it may not help right away if loctite has been used. And if you do use the soldering iron method that you exercise caution, and only do so when it's in a material that is not flammable or prone to heat damage. This wasn’t a good product at all. It just didn’t work. I ended up purchasing another car for my grandson’s racetrack.

Works really good . Once you insert the liquid u gotta let it sit for a bit . It’s not instant magic . My Allen nut was stripped. I couldn’t get it out for days so I tried it and bang it worked.

In my experience I'm using this product, it was hit or miss whether it would help in removing a stuck screw. Now, I'm not a construction person, and I'm not an electronic engineer. However, using this product to get more grip on removing stuck screws only worked occasionally on either the big or small screws. I'm not sure why that is, so I can't ENTIRELY rule out I was doing something wrong. But, if I was using it correctly, it leaves a lot to be desired. 5/10, wouldn't purchase again unless it was on clearance.

Did not work at all. Heard of this product on Youtube DIY video. Rusted out screw on bathroom faucet handle could not be unscrewed. Applied this product as directed and nothing happened. Zero effect. Perhaps this product works wonderfully in some applications. It did not work for me in this application.

I used it to loosen 3 screws that were stripped. I put an ample amount as suggested and proceeded to loosen the screws right after application.

Had about half a dozen stripped screws on some hard drive Caddies. needed a gentle method of removing the screws as I couldn't risk damaging hard drives with data on them I still wanted. On all but one screw this worked fine on the first try. On the last it still didn't grip, so I ignored the instructions and let it set for 10 minutes before trying again, and that one came out too. I'm not sure if the screws had been totally stripped if this would have worked, but it my case it was batting 100%

This DOES NOT work to remove stripped screws! It doesn’t even dry instantly after letting it sit for over 30 minutes!!! It has this weird gritty, metal filing inside its liquid that does nothing help at all! Couldn’t grip and remove a tiny stripped screw!!!

We tried it on a toy that has the screw stripped but it does not work at all

Terrible it doesn’t do anything, I tried leaving it for a while didn’t work, tried on the tool it self didn’t work, tried on the screw also didn’t work. Don’t waste your money on this product

I was replacing the screw of one of my PS5 controllers when I accidentally made the + on it circular. This made it stick on and I was able to get the screw out and replace the battery.
