Can these snakes be laid out straight?

They arrived coiled. They are quite rubbery rather than hard plastic. I have not been able to completely straighten these snakes. I am able to pull them so that they are not coiled but they are not completely straight. As soon as I pick them up off the ground, they immediately coil again.

Do thy scare squirrels away?

We don’t have many squirrels here, but I’m guessing no.

Can this fit on a window sill coiled up?

Yes. The snake is about the diameter of your finger.
