Stop searching. Buy. This. NOW.
UPDATE: 5/14/13: 10 months later, the mattress pad is STILL awesome! Dog peed on it a few months back (gross) and had it dry cleaned and it came back perfect. Still has all its cushion, still way comfortable and I still love it. Only downside is we are moving and putting our queen bed in the guest room and buying a king bed. Hopefully I will buy a bed so comfortable that I don't need this mattress pad, but at least if I do, I know EXACTLY what to get. Original review: I never really leave amazon reviews unless the product is absolutely terrible, but this mattress pad is SO awesome,I just had to share. We purchased our mattress right after I gave birth and was advised not to get a pillow-top by everyone with an opinion (because we were planning on co-sleeping). Well, once the first year of co-sleeping and nursing were over, we were left with a hard, awful bed. It served it's purpose but four years later, I was sick of it and set out to find the perfect mattress pad. I searched for months in stores and on Amazon and nothing really compelled me to buy. The foam ones go flat after a few months and they adsorb body odors. The down ones are way to hot and make my husband sweat. Then, I stumbled on to this one. There is a reason it currently has no bad reviews (as of 7/14/12). Because this mattress pad is AWESOME. I've had it for a month now and am still so excited every time I go to bed because I feel like I'm sleeping on a cloud. I wake up with no side or back pain, neither does my husband. I fall asleep faster and with no tossing and turning. The picture is more than accurate and the sides are really sturdy. I have yet to wash it but I think I'm going to be safe and take it to be dry cleaned. This is seriously the best $55 I have ever spent. Stop searching and just buy this if you want a soft, plush, good quality mattress pad. I'll report back after a year with an update.

Appropriately Named Cuddlebed. . .
I believe in the saying, "don't expect much and you won't be disappointed." That is what I kept in mind when I ordered the Hollander Ultimate Cuddlebed. Thankfully, I wasn't disappointed when it arrived. It looks just like it does in the photo---soft and cushy--and it feels that way on my bed too. I bought this because I was looking for something to get me as far away from my mattress as possible. Because we have a lot of travelers stop by for visits, we were a bit worried when the bedbug epidemic started. So we put the best anti-bedbug mattress protectors on our mattresses. However, these protectors (even though be bought the ones that were most cotton-like) still have some plastic in them. Sleeping on any form of plastic or foam rubber makes me too hot, sweaty, and uncomfortable. I tried putting several layers of flannel sheets and mattress pads between me and the protectors, without any success. The Hollander Ultimate Cuddlebed was my last resort--and it worked! I put it over the mattress and mattress protector, and then I put a mattress pad over the Cuddlebed---simply because as far as I'm concerned the Cuddlebed IS the mattresses pillow top. Then, of course, the regular bedding. I was so happy the first night I slept on it. I wasn't affected by the hot plastic of the mattress protector. Kept cool and comfortable all night and had a very good night's sleep. The underside of the Cuddlebed does, in fact, have that awful "fake" flimsy, cotton candy-type, nylon material that is under most mattress pads that melts and balls up after the first time you forget to turn the temp down on the dryer. How I wish they would stop making that stuff and line these things with cotton instead! But since I'm treating the Cuddlebed as part of the mattress, I'm not worried about having it melt. And if I do have to wash it, I will remember to take very good care to keep the heat on the dryer to a minimum. Other than that, I am very pleased with my new Cuddlebed.

Perfect :)
I bought this because the reviews were outstanding and the price was right. I have a beautyrest pillowtop on the firmer side, and have been tossing and turning a lot lately as the bed has aged. This fit perfectly over my queen mattress even with deep pockets and the pillow top. It's comfortable and I noticed an immediate improvement in my sleep. I don't notice any slippage on the mattress, the sheets don't slide around on it, and it looks to be of very good quality-no discoloration or tears or loose threads/batting. I have never now will I ever machine wash it even though it says it can be. Dry clean or hand wash only if you must just to be safe.. Also, it's not as lofty as the picture indicates, but not to the point that I feel ripped off or misled in any way. If you want something that will perk up a hard mattress or revamp an old one, I highly recommend this. I wanted a bed that looked straight out of a magazine or a store display and you know what? I totally got it with this mattress pad and a new duvet cover. It's a really affordable way to make a bed go from blah to super inviting and the bed is by far the fastest way to makeover a room that your tired of (no pun intended).

So far like sleeping on cloud 9
I've only slept on this for one week, so I can't say whether or not it will compress. But so far, it is incredibly soft and comfy and like other readers have mentioned, I am having trouble getting out of bed in the morning! It seems to be very well made with sewn baffles. I can't feel the stitching or baffles, just a soft, floating feeling! Some reviewer(s) mentioned that the Cuddlebed doesn't reach the edges. I found that it fits perfectly - meets the edges of my mattress with no overlap. The other thing mentioned was the washing instructions, and yes, it says to NOT MACHINE wash/dry. It says to spot treat w/soap/water or dry clean only. So this would be a disadvantage if it became dirty. I put it right under the sheet, but I suppose if you were worried about soiling, you could put it under a mattress cover. When I did this, it seemed to smash down the fluffiness a bit, though. I was thinking today that any material is going to compress over time unless it's made of concrete! So the Cuddlebed is probably similar to my sleeping bag - it needs to be fluffed up every now and then when I sleep in it for any length of time. I think I'll take this off the bed a couple times a month and throw it in the dryer on the fluff setting. I am very satisfied so far, but might post later after sleeping on this for a few months. Update: I wanted to add that I have a queen sized mattress too.

NOT MACHINE WASHABLE
This item was shipped in a too-large box with insufficient cushioning and arrived open and the plastic packaging was torn. Luckily the item was not soiled or damaged so I accepted it. I have a Sealy queen mattress and the item does not fit to the edges of it, about 2 inches short on all sides. I wanted a cover with good quality side skirt-so many have the paper-like material that won't fit snugly. It does have a snug-fitting side skirt but underneath the top material I found that paperish material!! The manufacturer's tag clearly states DO NOT MACHINE WASH!! Yet the listing on Amazon states "machine washable". Dry cleaning is recommended on the tag, which is ridiculous for bed clothing items. It is comfortable enough and seems to hold it's place, but I'm a little disgruntled about the nondisclosure and the shipping method. If I want to return it now it will be a pain, probably should have just refused the delivery.

This is the topper to buy!
Update: 03/05/2014 This mattress topper is still incredible! Still fluffy and comfortable. I still recommend it! Original Review: I did a lot of research before purchasing a mattress topper and it came down to this one and the down alternative topper. Both of them had the highest reviews on comfort and quality. The cons of each product were where I made my decision. The down alternate topper was said to bunch up in the pockets and the cuddle bed's main downside for some was that it was not as thick as some people expected. I took my chances with the cuddle bed and I am SO glad I did. It's definitely thick enough and the quality is excellent. I have slept on it for a week before posting this review to make sure. It does not sleep hot for me. My husband suffers from hip pain when he sleeps and he has been sleeping much more comfortably. Some reviews also mentioned the topper was too small to fit the bed. It seems as if it is small when putting it on (by an inch or so) but it does not affect your comfort. Once you put your fitted sheet over it, there is no difference. I also bought a mattress protector and placed it over the cuddle bed to protect it as many reviews complained about cleaning it. I highly recommend this mattress topper, it really is the best purchase (and the price is excellent!)

WONDERFUL mattress pad
One reviewer wrote it was like sleeping on a cloud. I was a bit skeptical when I first put it on my bed, but after having slept on this one night (and now a few months) it really is a comfortable addition to my bed and does feel much like sleeping on a cloud. Not to be confused with SUPPORT; it just just a lovely fluffy soft mattress pad. "Cuddlebed" is a good description. And with those sewn channels ... all the fluff stays in place. I have an older Stearns & Foster "pillow top" mattress which I never found to be particularly all that comfortable so for the past few years I've added a feather bed with a mattress pad over to add more comfort. I was able to replace out those two items with this one and it's wonderful. Highly recommend. You can't find anything like this in a store .. at least I haven't. However, be forewarned ... To wash this thing, it will sadly require a trip to the laundry mat ... it's too large to fit into a standard home washer. I have a front loader, but its probaby 14 yo now and it won't fit in there. Maybe if you have a newer front loader you can wash it, but just know it requires a LARGE washer.

Seriously garbage! Fell apart!
The Cuddlebed is indeed very comfy. It is soft and fluffy for sure. The cotton TOP is a nice, durable, high thread count fabric. It adds comfort and breathability to foam mattresses which was my main intent. Even the sides are a high-quality, very stretchy and durable material. In short, I have no problems with the preceding... However, this product is SERIOUSLY FLAWED. The bottom of this mattress cover might as well be made out of toilet paper. It is that super cheap polyester "paper" is about the best I can describe. In less than a year, it began to pill and just disintegrate. Where my shoulders rest, the paper just tore and all the polyester fluff came out. It is just a huge clean-up job at this point. See my customer pictures. I would give this thing 5 stars if they would have thought to make the bottom out of actual cotton fabric or other more durable material. To use such a cheap material that fell apart is just a disgrace at this premium price point.

No acolchona
Queda bien en la cama king size, pero no agrega nada de acolchonamiento. Parece mรกs como un protector y solo en las orillas estรก acolchonado.
