Birkenstock Men's Madrid Leather Sandals

These have the FANTASTIC arch support that Birkenstock always offers, in a regular/wide width for my C width womens feet. I much prefer these soft fleece lined thin buckel uppers to my leather big buckle pair (which after months i've still not managed to break in to not rub!) These are soft inside and once I've worn them in, they are so comfortable for walking/standing/all day. I just wish there were one more tigher hole, if these stretch anymore i'll have to punch another one to be able to tighten the strap more. I have wide but low volume feet and usually wear an 8.5/9 or size 40 wide or C width.

I've never worn Birkenstocks before, but my feet have been hurting so badly for several years, no matter what other kinds of shoes I've tried, that I thought I would try these. After the first few days of wearing them around the house, I fell in love with them. Now, my feet have even stopped hurting with other shoes. I've ordered an enclosed style to wear to work.I will say that Birkenstock's size chart is WRONG. I wear a 7 1/2 in US size, but a 36 in these. Luckily, I had recently bought some other shoes in Euro size, and I had an idea what size to order. I still had to send them back once, but Amazon's great "free return" policy made return and re-order a breeze. If you don't have a store nearby, this is the next best thing. Also, I found a chart where you can actually measure your foot for Euro sizes. http://www.footprints.de/en/shoes/correct-fit/I would highly recommend trying these shoes for anyone with painful feet, especially across the forefoot and toes.

After doing some research on this brand I decided to get a pair of the Madrid sandals. I am usually a size 9US which is equivalent to size 40, when I received the size 40 Madrid slippers however they were way too big. I contacted the seller who then told me I could exchange them for another size. Let me emphasize that this seller was the most AMAZING seller I've dealt with. The responded to all my e-mails within a day and facilitated an easy exchange process. I exchanged the 40 for a 38 and it fits perfectly. Thank You Show Remp!!

I order a 6-6.5 (37) and they were giant. I typically wear a 6.5. These were too long and too baggy. My own fault, I did not read reviews which clearly state that they run large. Adorable and a great deal though, they are currently in the mail on the way back for an exchange for a smaller size. I really hope they fit!

First the picture does not show patent leather- but that's how they came. 2nd - I have many pairs of these- 1st pair Birkenstocks that there's lots of glue along the edge. If I wasn't desperately in need of a new pair - I would have returned them. However, I won't be buying another.

This is my first birken actually, I used to think that they were too hard to wear and that I'd hate them. Well, give it 1 week so it fits perfectly your feet contour and I promise you will NOT take it off again.I spent my whole summer wearing it all the time. It's very comfortable, it goes with anything I am wearing and it's very light in the feet.It's half a size larger actually, so keep that in mind when you order it!All in all, I would buy it again!

If you have never worn Birkenstock before, which i hadn't , don't expect them to feel fabulous the first time you wear them. In fact the directions say to wear for a few hours a day, esp. around the house until they fit your foot. The first day I wore them I hated them, 2nd day still was ready to get rid of them. After a few days they fit perfectly -- that is just the nature of the shoe. This is my first pair but not my last
