Schallen Small 9" Portable Desk Table Oscillating Cooling Fan with 2 Speed Setting & Quiet Operation (White)

Always a worry at this price point it'll be some nasty noisy Chinese knockoff job but fortunately turned out not to be the case. Really nothing to grumble about, easy enough to put together, came nicely packaged with very clear documentation devoid of the usual Chinglish, even the wire securing the power cable was nice quality! Comes with proper UK 3 pin plug (rated at 21W, better than USB powered nonsense). Doesn't creak, rattle or groan as it oscillates, which is often a concern with small desk fans. My one complaint would be the tilt adjustment doesn't feature a wing nut, although it seems well torqued from the factory surprisingly. It's not whisper quiet but it's not loud either I'd describe it lower moderate sound. On speed 1 I recorded approx 35 dB at 1m out of the airstream and 51 dB at source. Don't have my air flow meter to hand but I'll try to update with cfm and m3/s figures, but speed 1 would seem sufficient assuming you've got it on your desk where you're working. Speed 2 it gets a bit rowdier, about 45 dB at 1m and 64 dB at source. The instructions state 50 dBA, 755 m3/hr and 2.4 m/s and a 2 year warranty form Netagon Ltd.

Worst fan I have ever used. The back pad wouldn't secure to the fan properly so as soon as the blade rotated it fell off and then the motor would stop. The motor also heated Up very quickly so would not run for more than 10mins before we had to turn it off. Used once and had to put it back in the box and return aS was not fit for purpose and beyond useless. What a load of rubbish. Apparently I have to give it a star but it's absolutely 0 out of 5

Great little fan, easy to put together. Turned itself off if it gets too hot which is a good safety feature, not completely quite but not too loud.

The fan works reasonably well with a little noise.

The head of the fan is too heavy for the base unit so it keeps pointing upwards. It was quiet until I moved it. Now it sounds like a distant helicopter. It is cooling me down, sat in front of it.

Its a lovely fan quite simple which is beautiful and I would use it as a personal fan or to create a cross breeze my cats love it. Il order more for friends and family.

The power for the fan is very weak, it only had two speeds settings that are not very good. The oscillation of the fan is very dramatic l, it literally throws itself from left to right. It creates a bit of a creaking noise while oscillating. For some reason it doesn't want to point forward, it has a slight upwards angle that you cannot seem to change. I'd avoid this product

For a small desk fan this proved ideal as a gift. It was value for money and the sturdiness of it let the airflow evenly around the room
