Rubie's Costume Grand Heritage Batgirl Classic TV Batman Circa 1966 Costume

I am with the rest of the girls reviewing this outfit. It is well constructed with the exception of the head piece. There was a lot of tweaking to be done. Luckily I know how to stick and fix stuff. The mask was very out of place, it fit crooked on my face. one of the ears was stitched lower than the other, I had to unstitch and stitch back correctly, same with the mask. When unstitching the mask, the wig came off too so I had to stitch that back too. I bought the medium size and it fit me perfectly, except for the length of the legs, I had to cut to my size and stitch back the elastic. I am 5'0" and weight 133 pounds.

I was extremely impressed with this item. I hesitated to pay such a large amount for a Halloween costume but, given the other reviews, I gave it a shot. I'm glad I did. The catsuit was of thin material and on par with what I've come to expect from catsuits in this price range. What I did not expect were the attached stirrups that prevent the bottoms of the leggings from riding up. This was an alteration I had planned on making myself. I was pleasantly surprised to note this detail had already been taken care of. The bat emblem on the chest is stitched on "pleather", not the printed on applique that I imagined it would be. The cape is of heavy satin that I ironed with a hot iron with no trouble at all. I've had capes so thin I was worried they would melt. Not so with this one. Given the other reviews, I had planned on cutting off the attached wig. On receipt of this costume, I was, again, pleasantly surprised. The partial wig attached to the mask is much heavier than I expected. It will need styling, as does any wig, right out of the box. Is the wig of a quality that can be worn as street wear every day? No, it is not. For this application it is more than acceptable. Initially I thought the belt was far larger than it should be, then I went to my reference photo and found the belt is intended to be worn around the hips, not the waist. It's still a tiny bit large for me, but the velcro closure can be moved. That being said, I am disappointed with the "pockets" on the utility belt. They are simply squares of yellow craft foam with no detail, glued to the belt. They would be challenging to remove without destroying the belt. All in all, this was a great purchase that, with a couple of very minor adjustments, will be perfect.

This is a really nice costume! It arrived in a garment bag for storage. Material is very stretchy. The belt is very nicely made. I have a lot of hair and the wig stays positioned and is not too tight. I ordered size small, 5’6” 125 lbs, long torso, fits comfortably.

Just wore this to a halloween carnival and got tons of compliments! OMG, I am so pleased! SIZING: I'm a size 4, (5'6" about 125-130 depending) and the small fit great except - there is a huge camel toe possibility here as the the torso is a little short but I worked it out. Also, I'm busty so maybe if you aren't this wont happen as the top part of the torso will lie flatter and give you more material for the length? anyhow... another review said the legs were too long I didn't find that at all, the legs were perfect! scored some purple bootie heels on ebay and POW! Looked just like the picture. QUALITY: it's a halloween costume not day wear so I got what I expected. its not going to last forever. However, I needed to steam the cape as it was very wrinkled from the packaging -afterwards - it looked terrific. HAT/WIG: I don't recommend fluffing the hair too much as it gets a little wide. I wish I hadnt done that and kept it all mooshed together. oh well.

Here is the only pro for this item, the material itself actually looks good. Now here are the problems: 1. The measurements of the body piece are ill-configured. The torse is short, and the legs are unbelievably long. I completely understand that this is made to fit a woman from size 6 to 10, but the proportions do not make sense. I am 5'6", 140lbs, normally a size 6. I bought the small which is size 6 to 10. I figured maybe it would be a little loose. Instead the length of the garment is just not configured for a real person. 2. The size of the head piece. Unbelievably small. I do not know how much differentiation there is between head sizes, but considering the range of sizes this is made for, there should be more flexibility in the material to fit properly. 3. Velcro is used to secure the head piece together behind your hair. I don't know about you, but I did not enjoy trying to get my hair untangled from velcro. I really wanted this costume to work. It looks amazing, even the cape is nicely made. However, if you are going to make a costume, the measurements need to be realistic. Maybe next time advertise the length of the garment instead of just chest and waist measurements.

This is super cute. It’s a great suit if you want sexy but don’t feel comfortable showing skin (🙋🏼‍♀️). The material of the suit is thin and stretchy. The legs are pretty long, and I’m 5’9” with fairly long legs, and there was still an excess of material around the ankles. The belt and gloves are cute, but watch out for the Velcro, it snags on everything. The gloves are hella cheap, started coming undone after a hour of very lite wear. The cape felt remarkably “heavy” - made with quality fabric and lining. The mask/headpiece is the wonkiest part of the costume. The mask was way too big and didn’t fit flush against my face, the ears were on the side and pretty low on the head. The mask was sewn to the cowl/wig noticeably off center. Made the whole headpiece look off. Final criticism: camel toe city. The material is so thin and stretchy it’s really hard to avoid it. Even put tights underneath to help but the only thing to do seems to be pulling the legs down so the crotch of the garment sits lower than your actual crotch. This thing is too expensive to be sewn so poorly. Too bad, it’s super cute. I wanted to love it, but for well over $100 I shouldn’t have to do reconstruction for it to fit properly.

I have wanted a Classic Batgirl for ages, and finally splurged and bought this. I was so impressed that it came on hangers in its own garment bag. That’s where the positives ended. The utility belt is NOTHING like what’s pictured. The pouches are yellow foam squares. Just squares. They don’t match the belt at all. The belt is some glittery gold strap thing. The wig fibers are cheap and get easily caught on the Velcro of the cowl. And the cowl!!! It is sized for a child. I cannot close the Velcro around the back of my head. I studied the photo to make sure I was attaching it correctly. No go. I will need to make and extender in order to wear this. The ears of the cowl flop over instead of standing straight up, so I’ll need to insert interfacing or wire to get the ears into proper position. The cape is actually nice. The bodysuit is a shiny sparkly purple spandex… not sure why it’s not a matte purple to match the cowl. It’s also badly fitted, so I will need to alter it. It’s made to be worn by someone whose measurements are the same at bust, waist, and chest. To same I’m disappointed is an understatement. I have a good bunch of work hours ahead to get this into the condition it should have been out of the box.

Der Preis hatte mich zunächst abgeschreckt es zu kaufen, zudem war ich unsicher, ob es mir mit 1,83m Größe passen würde. Ich bestellte es trotzdem in Large Als ich den Versandkarton öffnete, war ich zum ersten Mal positiv überrascht. Das Batgirl-Kostüm wurde in einem transparenten Kleidersack mit Bügel zum Aufhängen geliefert. Absolut positiv, dass der Jumpsuit perfekt passte und nicht drückte. Beim Aufsetzen der Batgirl Maske mit der Perücke brauchte es etwas Übung. Aber sie passte ebenfalls, so wie die Handschuhe. Einziges Manko. Die Haken zum Befestigen des Capes sind sehr klein und einer fiel auch beim Anprobieren ab. Aber dieses Manko verschmerzen ich, da ich ohnehin Sicherheitsnadeln für das Cape verwenden werde, was zu dem das Anlegen des Capes ohne Hilfe sehr erleichtert. Ich bereue es jedenfalls nicht mei Batgirl Kostüm gekauft zu haben und freue mich schon darauf es bei nächster Gelegenheit zu tragen.

It's okay however in body I am a small the mask doesn't fit my head luckily I have a black bag girl mask that I can cover with some purple fabric and use. The wig was fine although I already have one and again it was a little small for my head I wouldn't say it was brilliant for the money I paid for it but oh well you win some you lose some

I'm not a professional cosplayer, but I do a LOT of it, and I've worn several different costumes. This is hands-down my favourite, and the best cosplay outfit I have! Gorgeous, well-made, OG 1966 Batgirl. The fabric is silky, smooth, stretchy, and true to size, making it a very comfortable fit. The belt is huge compared to the costume, but it's lined with a material that the velcro will stick to, and the cape covers the back so I don't have to cut the belt down to size. The pouches aren't actual pouches, but they're also not big enough to really store anything so no big deal. The jumpsuit has stirrups to prevent it from riding up, which is a huge plus for me - I've debated altering other outfits with this feature, so having them is a great bonus. The jumpsuit and cape are a nice weight, not heavy but also not thin. The cape clasp, as has been mentioned in other comments, is kind of flimsy, but an easy fix. The only thing I have a little difficulty with is the cowl, but once you figure out how to secure it, it looks great! The mask doesn't impair vision at all and is very comfortable, and the hair is very realistic and soft. The gloves aren't attached, so no struggling to pick stuff up or use your phone. Love that it came in a garment bag, too - all costumes should come so well-packaged. Zero complaints and nothing but praises. I will probably be going as Barbara Gordon for a lot of conventions compared to my other outfits. Best cosplay purchase to date. Highly recommend!
