Valve Spring Compressor Tool Fit 4.8 5.3 5.7 6.0 6.2 LS1 LS2 LS3 LS6 For Chevy LSX Camaro, Corvette, Trans am, GTO, G8, CTSV, GM Trucks

Used this on a 2011 Chevrolet Suburban with an LQ9 5.3L LS motor. Extremely easy to use and fast. I will recommend this to all those doing valve springs on an LS motor.

Several problems with this item that are not clear in the description.(1) [MINOR ISSUE] Cannot use with 7/16" rocker studs. It is machined to fit 3/8" rocker studs. I was able to machine the pieces to fit 7/16" studs, which lead me to the next problem...(2) [MAJOR ISSUE] The pieces are milled to fit cylinder heads held on with bolts, not studs. My SBC 350 Gen 1 ARP studs (ARP234-4301) protrude too high, interfering with the aluminum base and steel T pieces. Show stopper for me.(3) [MINOR ISSUE] The piece that caps the valve spring O.D. locator is machines to fit 1.00", but my AFR Eliminator 180 heads have 1.380".The pictures and description do not make these issues clear. Carefully research this tool if you intend to buy. Ultimately, I was not able to use this. According to other reviews, it looks like it works well on factory heads with bolts.Quality of craftsmanship = good

Complete waste of money broke on the second valve hardware is super cheap will eat up threads I bought the cheaper $9 tool and finished the job do not buy you will be totally upset!!

Worked perfect used it to swap valve springs and seals to btr springs and seals on an lq4. Great tool for cost

Might want to spend more money on a nicer one. Every time I compressed a valve it would shred a little metal because of how cheap it was. It worked enough for one top end build but it’s pretty ruined and I had to flush all the little metal shavings out the top end. For the price it was fine I’ll vacuum and flush the top end but next time I’ll spend double the money and get a better one.

Worked great for my LS build. Took me a sec to figure out, as it did not come with instructions. But tool held up.

Did exactly what I needed it to do. Which was replace valves springs on one engine.

Used this tool on heads still on the motor and in the truck. LS3 heads swapping out stock springs for a set of PAC 1218s. Worked prefect and great price.

Loutils est très mal usiné une des vis les filets on ete fait en angle et il me manquait tjrs le 2 mm que langle menlevais pour enlever mes spring retainer .L'outils a plier a la 2iem valves donc jai du le redressir quelques fois .Pour palier au 2mm manquant jai plier les pattes vers le bas et jai reussis a faires toutes mes valves par contre je suis déçus de la qualité car je ne pourrais certainement plus me servir de cet outilsPayer 49$
