Good value for money and robust construction

I found this Disney Cars GFM09 Pixar's Cars XRS Drag Racing Playset with Stunt Jump and Lightning McQueen well made and sturdy.It was easy to atach all parts and here is instruction if you need.My kids love this toy so much,they are fans of Disney Cars,so were excited to play various games with it.Here is posibility to play with one or two cars at same time,also the gap in the middle of bridge can be extended.Moreover,my kids very happy that always can clearly see who won,because here is pop up flag at the finish line.Very interesting toy,grabs kids attention immediately,good fun for all family.Good value for money,definitely recommend.

This is a great toy, but the reason why it loses one star is I think that Disney have been a bit cheap only supplying one toy car with this drag racing kit the whole point of it is for a bit of fun competitive play, either with one child pitting their favourite car against another or two kids pitting their cars against each other.This Disney cars drag racing kit is part of a whole series of cars themed racing toys and car/truck models.It's well built easy to put together, comes with stickers and instructions and the back is specially perforated for it to be easy to open.Every parent knows how fiddly packaging can be, it's nice that the manufacturer has considered this when packaging this product, it's not hard to get at.There is a timer but it's mechanical rather than electrical so that's good, you don't have to replace any batteries. Switching from the straight level track to the stunt track is really easy. You just pull the track back.It should help develop dexterity, encourage competitive fun and quick reflexes.Do get involved with putting it together with your child, for a younger child in particular it would be far too fiddly.it's not a given that the cars will actually managed to cross the gap when you have it in stunt mode. If you don't use the correct amount of pressure, react quickly enough, don't place the car properly etc then things can go wrong, which is good because you don't want to have a situation where the end result is a finish every time.I like the design of the finish line. The car has to hit a plastic strip with sufficient force to trigger a flag being raised and preferably it also has to pass through the strip.As I've already mentioned, if you want your child to take part in competitions and race 1 car against another, you will need to buy more cars. Only one comes with this set, but there are plenty of them out there and they are also equally attractive and good quality.I also like the piston detail that they have on this particular version of Lightning McQueen I've not seen that before.

A great gift and my Nephew who’s obsessed with the film Cars really loves it. A big bulky plastic toy (aren’t they all) but incredibly robust and the mechanics of it hold up even with the most ambitious 3 year olds repetitiveness. He loves how quick Lightning McQueen shoots out of the track and it keeps him occupied for ages. A well designed and thought out toy.

Got this for my friend's son for his birthday. He loves it! Unlike me, he immediately knew how to get the racing set to work and was happily engaged in play for a good few hours. I'm happy he liked it and that this racing set kept him entertained! Would recommend.

This set definitely has it's good and bad points.It's fairly easy to assemble due to there not being many parts, and most of these are large too. It looks impressive when it's done, and doesn't need any batteries which is always a bonus! It feels sturdy-ish..but a little flimsy if you try to move it.There are flags hidden at the finish line. As soon as the winner hits the little yellow flap on their side, the flag on that side only pings up. This will save loads of aggravation about who is the winner of each drag race, which I can see causing arguments!The few issues I have with this is that for one, there is only one car included. Now when you're selling a "Drag Race" toy, I feel like 2 should be included as standard. It will get very boring very quickly for a child hitting a button just to see if he/she can jump the bridge on their own.The other thing I found is it's almost impossible to take the thing apart! This isn't a massive problem as most of the time it will stay out...but if a child decided they wanted to perhaps take this to a friend's house it would pose a problem.If you found this review helpful, please click the "helpful" button. Great if you like the films but my daughter just like things that move so loves watching the car do tricks with this
