I really like this phone, but not as your ONLY phone.
I have to be reachable 24/7. I bought this because my Note 9 is huge and I sometimes forget to bring it with me. This Palm is so small I can slip it in the watch pocket of my jeans and not even know its there. It is a full featured smartphone in every way and capable of running anything. The only thing missing is a hotspot.. probably because this was intended to be a "companion device" like a smart watch. I am using it with its own Verizon sim card at the moment, but want to get it switched to be a companion device for my Note 9.. then it's only $10 a month and it shares your phone # which works best for me. Then if I leave the Note at home this phone will ring too. The important thing is that this phone is probably not practical as your ONLY phone. The screen is very small (but bright and sharp) and the battery life is very short. If I just leave it in my pocket all day and only look at it once or twice the battery will still be above 80% at bedtime. But start streaming a movie and you'll probably be lucky to get an hour out of it. It also gets very warm when streaming.. especially when in a case. It could literally be used as a hand warmer. But I expected these shortcomings in a phone this size. And I would rather have a fast phone that has shorter battery life than a slow phone with longer battery life. Overall as a second device 5 Stars!

Best phone every! Pros outweigh the cons by a country mile
I use this as my primary cell phone, not as a companion as it was initially marketed. This sucker is tiny! Like credit card tiny. I got tired of lugging around a "giant" (5.5" screen) phone that I could not use one-handed or keep in my pocket comfortably. Those problems are solved! I keep this phone in my shirt pocket and never know it's there until I want to use it. It has all the functionality of a "full-size" phone but I don't use all of it because it's just too small for shopping, surfing and reading. (I use my tablet or desktop for that) What it is perfect for however is calling and texting (with the swipe-style keyboard, too small for adults fingers to text normally) or voice to text. Biggest complaint is battery life. Less than one day. Needs to charge on my drive to work AND again on my drive home. BUT since the battery is so small I can achieve a full charge almost every time I commute (25 minutes). Since I work a desk job in front of a computer I just don't need a big phone. I love this thing and it's a conversation starter for sure every time I pull it out.

beware of issues with SIM card tray, minor annoyance with Verizon branding
first unit sent to me was unusable because the SIM tray was glued shut. returned it; replacement works fine. one significant complaint is that it is a little tricky to remove the SIM tray - the included removal tool is too big to fit into the tray release hole and the tray does not pop out when a smaller pin is inserted into the hole. the tray needs to be pried open with a large-gauge pin; I use a pinback button for this purpose. battery life is limited but, on the plus side, it recharges very quickly. the warning message at start-up that my SIM (T-mobile) isn't from Verizon is annoying but harmless. not really thrilled with the selection of alert tones that doesn't include the common ones usually used for SMS and Hangouts but can live with the alternatives. under "value for money" I gave 4 star because a brand-new unit is a bit expensive for my purpose but the fully-functional, new-looking "renewed" unit that I eventually bought was just under $100, which is reasonable. the item description includes the word "(Silver)"; not sure if that refers to a model name variant as the unit I received is black (as was the one I had to return), which is what I preferred anyway.

NO MICRO SD CARD. Ran out of space with catastrophic consequences. Done.
Have watched and read dozens of reviews and not one has mentioned that there is no microSD card. That is the deal-breaker for me. Just because I'd like a small phone does not mean that I do not take pictures and video. 32GB fills up quickly, and will be disastrous when it does. More on this later. The form-factor is beautiful. Sleek and small. Women call it cute and adorable in their reviews. Not a problem there. I would not call it either of those things. I am a man who loves svelte, minimalistic electronics and this is where the phone shines. There is no need to try to carry a cookie sheet in your pocket because that's all that the manufacturers are making (and that's what they keep telling us we should want ;) ) These phones are getting larger and larger and more and more ridiculous. I purcuased this for use as a stand-alone phone, not part of the Verizon add-on plan. This phone will not likely see use because of the lack of microSD card and this... I have been using it as a non-connected backup phone to get the feel of it. Even purchased multiple cases and accessories. Then, last week the thumbnail icon didn't work and I couldn't look at any of the photos or videos I'd taken on the phone. This was quite strange, so hooked it up to a computer to troubleshoot. Somehow files were corrupted and I ended up LOSING 47 pictures and ? videos. Now I'm a computer expert/engineer, do software recovery, build all of my own machines, have rooted all of my cellular devices (not this one, kept it factory standard) AND, regularly troubleshoot/fix/repair everyone's computers, from the office to family and friends. Out of 15-17+ phones, I've NEVER had an Android device behave like this. Can't trust it with my most precious cargo, pictures-- so this will be relegated to the Cool Tech pile. I really lost invaluable family photos. Life-tip... (have seen so many recommendations and reviews that talk about this topic, so bringing it up...) don't buy this phone because you need something irritating to "break your addiction" to a more feature-rich phone. Work on your addiction because it will help you in the rest of your life. Get to the root of the issue and more importantly, get a hold of yourself. It's like trying to use a tiny college fridge because you don't want to eat too much, or buying too-small clothing to encourage work-out motivation. Creating friction for friction's sake does not lead to a lasting resolution. Dig up the root. Progress. Grow.

Cool little phone, perfect condition, would be tough to use as primary
I wanted a cheap backup phone that works on Verizon and uses USB-C, this fits the bill perfectly. I've been using it for the past week while I deal with a warranty issue on my normal phone (pixel 3). It's a conversation starter for sure, and I appreciate how much less I'm on my phone now, but a couple things prevent me from making this my full-time phone - the battery life. It's bad. You can watch the %s tick down while you are using the phone. I'm sure they'd like users to avoid using google maps, chrome etc.. but thats not happening. The phones small enough that you could pair it with a small battery pack though and maybe get through the day. - the camera - I'm too used to having a flagship phone quality camera on me all the time. This camera is bad. with that said its generally a well made phone and I will always travel with it in my suitcase just incase my primary phone bites the dust.

Really cool idea implemented very well... With one exception that can't be overcome as a phone...
This phone is really neat, I love the size and the fact that everything still works really well on such a tiny screen. Would definitely recommend getting a keyboard that can swipe. Now the issue that kills this phone... Unfortunately, if you want to use this phone, with all features enabled, you may need to charge the phone 3-5 times to get through one day... I have never seen a device with such inadequate battery since the Sega Game Gear. Many state that the battery is bad, but it is far worse than you would think. Heck you may buy this phone because you can't possibly believe that it could be that terrible, lol more power to you! If this has a use case, I would say it works well as a better iPod. Disable all of the things you can, wireless, cell, background processes, and just play music you download. You can install all of the Android apps, I use Google Play Music and podcasts. It would be good for jogging. ***Warning***: if you decide to put your sim card in this phone you will be waging a war with your phone to get it back. The standard size ejector too doesn't work on this phone, the hole is too small.

Palm Is Ahead of It's Time..Unfortunately They Skipped On The Battery.
ATTN: If you are a power user that's constantly on the phone for hours or if your phone is your only internet-capable device, this particular phone may not be for you. Please do you research before buying this device. IF: 1) You are tired of lugging around a brick 2) Need a break from being constantly connected 3) Prefer simplicity 4) Appreciate an intuitive design 5) Don't mind charging the device up to 3x per day. *This may be the phone for you. Device arrived in perfect condition, took my sim out of my AT&T iPhone 7 and promptly placed it into this Verizon device and it has been worry-free. I reset it, replaced the Verizon messages+ app with the stock Android Messages app and have used this device stand-alone with no problems. The dark themed UI is perfect and custom-tailored for the small screen. Apps are on the home screen in a vertical scroll pattern, swipe left and you have the Google Assistant page..That's it, all you need and nothing you don't. The battery life is abysmal. This phone was made to keep you away from your phone, unfortunately, you will still be glued to your phone because you will be constantly worried its not dead. Charging the phone is not the problem, it's the standby time. At 95% before I went to sleep, 6 hours later, down to 38%. My phone is my alarm, I can't trust this phone for that purpose. It loses 1% every minute or two while using apps. Pro: Size, the build quality easily rivals iPhones. It's tiny but solid and definitely doesn't feel cheap. Handles Android Auto great. Con: BATTERY. Can run hot when you're multitasking (phone call and navigation running etc.). The small size makes it harder to dissipate heat from the CPU. Phone could also be just a bit faster. **Hoping Palm makes a follow up in 2020 with similar form factor, 2400mah battery, and a bit faster CPU..Instant pre-order. **

Great condition - love the purpose of this phone!
The product is in great condition and came with a usb-c cable and charging block (although not oem, it works great). I am able to use it as a companion phone and a stand-alone phone. Came with with some card tray out, and this is probably because itโs difficult to remove once in. The phone that I received, the SIM card tray is not one that uses an eject tool - I ended up using a staple to pull the tray, rather than push into it to eject the tray. I first used it as a stand-alone device, but thought it was annoying to have to switch my sim to the other phone if I wanted to use my iPhone. So I decided to go to Verizon and set it up as a companion device. Note: you need to turn iMessage and FaceTime off if you plan on pairing it with an iPhone. So green bubble life! When I went to Verizon it was an easy set up for them, and I ended up getting the companion device plan for $10/month extra. Now Iโm able to put my iPhone away when I need to focus on tasks at hand. My palm device is great for limiting distractions, and focusing of what is whatever physically in front of you. Because of this phone, Iโve been able to cut down my average screen time from 8 hours a day to 2 hours a day. Hopefully I can continue to limit my screen time and actually live life outside of my phone - but still have the ability to stay connected.
