Dog Tie Out Cable with Ground Stake Corkscrew FGR-SD Choose Your Length

This Freedom Ground Run 50 foot dog tie out is perfect. At least so far. First we tried an electric fence for our 85 pound mixed breed. He would see a squirrel or rabbit or deer in the woods behind our house and he'd be up the hill and through the electric fence and gone on the chase. Whatever the shock or training. Then he wouldn't come back because he didn't want the shock on return. Next we tried one of the nylon / polypropylene leads. That lasted 6 months. It tore and broke as he charged after some creature or noise or smell. I should say he's usually quite docile but every now and then off he goes. Finally we bought this product, a 50 foot Dog Tie Out FGR-SD. We don't use the Ground Stake Corkscrew because we wrap it around posts on our back deck. So far, so good. I really like the quality of the product. There is a smooth vinyl coating over the metal so it doesn't harm him if it rubs against him. The clips at the end and the connectors all seem high quality. We are very satisfied. If he breaks through or if it rusts I will revise my rating.

Nice strong cable. Holds by 100+ lb dog well. Only complaint is the connector hooks. They are somewhat cheap, and either can't get open or they've come open somehow on their own. Replaced with high quality climbing carabiner and works very well. Will definitely purchase again in future as needed.

Worked great on our latest camping trip for an 80 pound pitbull. You do need some soft ground though to get the based screwed in. It does have carabineers on both sides of the line, so if you cant get it in the ground, you can find something to tie it to. Highly recommend.
