Suitable Part
These are washing machine motor parts. Motor carbon brushes wear down over a long period of time and it is reasonably straight forward to replace them. Takes care and patience. The slope on the brushes must sit the correct way around when fitting. All electricity switched off when working. The quality of parts are good, and Prime gives quick delivery which gets the machine back into use.

Saved me a fortune
Bought these for my Bosch Maxx 6 washing machine. The rinse light was flashing and would not do anything else. So I looked on you tube and found out it was potentially a fault with the motor brushes. So 30 mins to install the new ones ( follow youtube directions) easy peasy . Put it all back together and reset the board ( youtube directions ) hey presto it's like new working great. So £5.99p for a new set of brushes saved me buying a new washer or having it fixed by some one else which would end up being the price of a new washer. So happy and don't hesitate change the brushes and fix it yourself.

Cheap and do the job. And get rid of the F21 code!
Had an error code F21 on my Bosch washing machine. Looked online and saw it was likely to be the brushes. So after taking out the motor it was all of 5 minutes to replace them. You-tube has videos showing you how to do this. The original brushes which are about 6 years old were 1/4 the length of the new ones. After fitment Washer is now fine again and no error codes. Can't imagine what the cost would have been to get an engineer out to fix it....

Bosch Exxcel 8 WAQ 28461GB some tips.
It seems that youtube videos cant be believed. I spent a long time trying to remove the motor to gain access to the brushes but the spindle pushes against the rear main body so I would need to remove that as well . It took quite a time trying to get the motor almost out and I used a hammer to push it back in place (carefully) So I decided to just try and change the brushes with the motor in place. Tip - first lay the machine on it side, there is a plastic water shield over the motor - remove it by starting at the back and lifting it off of the circular rear of the motor, then there are two other points where it clips in place so lift them off carefully. The wiring is held in place by plastic clips so I used long nose plyers to squeeze the clips together to push them out of the socket. The wiring came out easy enough and I disconnected the earth by removing the bracket securing screw. The brushes were well and truly worn out, so removed them and replaced them. Tip - use a really bright light to see what you are doing - it really helped me. When reconnecting the drain pipe I noticed it was really clogged up so cleaned that out by pushing some old mains cable back and forth into the machine drain pipe.. Following an online tip I poured hot water with fairy liquid down the main drain pipe and that seemed to do a good job. Its working fine now. You will need to reset the alarm notice (assuming you had one) so look that up on youtube

They work
Easy to fit after watching on-line videos and washing machine now working fine again. Cheap and easy fix for something that I suspect would cost an awful lot more if an engineer was called out.
