Excellent Water Cooler - Setup was a beast, but I hope to simplify that with this review!
Off the top, this product is well designed, and assembled with quality components. The instruction manual could be better, and it would be excellent if someone could find a link to it online. If I am able, I will take photos of the manual and post it with this review. The water tastes great! I purchased this unit to get myself into the habit of drinking more water, and will probably add around 1/8 teaspoon of Celtic Sea Salt to remineralize the water. I find myself craving this water now, and with the built in cooling function, it makes everything quick and easy. Features: Hot, Cold, and Room Temp water on demand. Perhaps the best feature is that you can press a rocker switch on the back of the unit to start a 90 minute cycle to pump pathogen killing ozone directly into the system to clean the tanks and the lines. It's also worth noting that the instruction manual includes instructions for removing the water tanks to clean them independently, which I would definitely advise you to do at regular intervals. The instructions don't say how often you should completely clean the unit, but I'm going to check it out at 3 months, and then I can't imagine it being necessary more than once or twice a year (if that). I believe the ozone feature is important, as many RO systems show an accumulation of bacteria in the reservoir over time. I have performed the ozone cleaning cycle once already, and if there was any ozone gas leaking, it was minimal as the ozone odor was extremely faint. Plus any leakage would just clean and refresh the air around your cooler! I started off trying to install the system by splitting off of the 1/4" line behind my refrigerator. After 3 days and 4 trips to the hardware store, I reread some of the reviews and realized I would probably get better results splitting off of the cold water line coming in for my washing machine. This worked out great, because it provided additional pressure, and I wanted to place the cooler in the laundry room, so I didn't need to drill any holes. To split off from the cold water line, I used a standard 3/4" garden hose "Wye" connector, to which I reconnected the cold water line to the washing machine, as well as a 3/8" OD x 3/4" FH "Dishwasher Elbow". Lastly, I purchased a 3/8" OD "Cap" to cap off the end of the splitter that ships with the unit. On all connections, I made sure to use the included PTFE sealing tape. This is critical. In the future, I will probably purchase a gasket from a hardware store to further prevent any leakage from the cap. Caps are notorious for leaking, and I pretty much got it stopped by adding a second layer of teflon tape to the connection point for the cap, but a rubber gasket would definitely improve things, as I can feel a tiny amount of water leakage at the connection when I check it after a couple of days. For the drain line, I just ran it out of the back of the unit and pushed it down the drain line in the wall where the washer water drains. The install isn't the hard part, it's finding the parts. Hopefully this review will help you out! Note: After installing I reached out to the company to check on the availability of parts. I was told that they do keep parts on hand, so serviceability should be taken care of. When you look inside the unit, they are parts that should be easy to locate, and there is enough room to get to things and make your own repairs if the pump or compressor go out in the future. All in all an excellent product at a really amazing price. A+

Must READ!!!
My first cooler arrived, and the cold water was warm. I thought this was normal until I read the reviews and found out it wasn't. I was lucky enough to get a replacement, which worked well. I decided to buy one for my parents, but after 15 days, theirs stopped working. They didn't tell me until two months later, so I called Brio, and they were nice enough to make an exception and exchange it. However, after one month, my parents' replacement also stopped working, and I gave up trying to fix or replace it. Two years later, my replacement no longer dispenses cold water. I'm extremely disappointed and wouldn't recommend purchasing this machine. Out of the four machines we received, none work anymore. Sigh...

Beats buying water bottles and carrying them into the house
I originally bought this to replace water bottles. We have 8 people in our house hold so you can just image the water consumption we go through. I got this water dispenser knowing I’ll use the cold water 98% percent of the time and we also live in Arizona so the 4 stage plus the ozone cleaning feature gave me peace at mind that I’m getting better water with little no no maintenance. Cons: 1. when you go to flush your filters individually. You’ll be able to flush the 1,2,4 filter with the included head. The #3 filter which is the reverse osmosis filter has a different style nipple on top causing it no to screw into the head, meaning you won’t be able to flush this filter. I personally just flushed the other 3 then just flushed the system after completing everything for 30 minutes and it’s been perfect. 2. The room temperature give maybe 3 cups. After that you gotta wait. I’m guessing the reservoir is smaller than the rest but since it room temperature you’d think it just go straight to the filter and come right out but ohh well. Conclusion: I’m very happy with the purchase. I’m personally a mechanic and an all out tradesman. With that being said the install was pretty straight forward. If you go through a lot of water with either 5 gallon jugs or water bottles and you hate carry it to fill it up or moving it then this is perfect buy. Tip and tricks: 1. Flush the 3 filters that you can for 10-20 minutes per or till clear. Reinstall all filters and just let water drain out the rear drain hole (there’s gonna be a whole with a cover) 2. After hooking up your supply line and your RO LINE and flushed the system. Ensure a consistent flow (no air) is coming out of all 3 temperatures. Makes sure the cold and hot switch in the back is turned off. Plug in machine and let it cycle from about 20 minutes. Turn on the cold water switch and let it do its thing. Your gonna hear slight noises like it’s leaking but that’s just what is sounds like. Don’t drink water out of it for probably an hour or 2, just let it cycle and fill up. After that everything will be done. Continue to turn the hot switch on and now your set up is complete. Cleaning: I clean my unit every week or 2 weeks at the longest. You just hold the switch for 5 seconds then the light will blink and it’ll be making noises again. It’s cleans for 90 minutes but I just throw a little sticky note on top telling everyone not to drink till 2 hours lasted. Flavor is great. I am kangen purifier rep and it’s taste like that water but at quarter of the price, I’ve yet to taste the ph level of the water. I’ve noticed that everyone drinks a lot more and stays more hydrated after I installed in. Beside that it was a great purchase and I’d purchase it again if I needed to or recommend it to anyone with the same situation.

Good flavor, dumps 4 x more water than used.
Water dispenser arrived fast, 2 says from order. Nice! Unit needed to be placed at end of counter in this install. you get a 7' length of tubing, not quite enough. Went hardware store for a 25' of tubing. So + $25 extra for that, plus a tasty breakfast of course. Then a nap... Reviewed instructions, installed water input valves under sink ok, recommend using a head lamp. Dressed tubing to run in front and under dishwasher to end of cabinet. I drilled a 1/4" hole at foot of front of shelf leading to the toe kick area. And mini nail styly tubing wall fasteners. I decided to wait a day before I ran the drain tubing for the RO part. Im glad lad I did. Went through the filter initial flushing procedure. The RO filter would not fit the flushing adapter. Later, when talking with support, she informed me that the RO filter is to be skipped, there is a new procedure booklet being shipped, I had an older version that does not mention RO filters. Ok. Connected water outlet blue tube to run to a large bucket instead of to the drain. Once everything was hooked up and checked, turned it on. Pump whirled, pre ran the hot and cold and room temp water. Only hot, cold worked... hmmm Then the water came out the output tube into the bucket(s).... it pumped over 15 gallons out. Watered garden, washed car, took a bucket bath. It kept pumping water for a few hours at first. Waited, hot and cold worked, but no middle water. Or I could pour 1 pint. Then nothing. Weird. But the excessive water out... manual does not mention any of this, nor does web site. Next day made coffee. Took 1.5 liter for cofee. The thing pumped a couple gallons out. Every time I took a glass, a gallon would flush out. Not good, we are in a drought, this was purchased to save water costs... so, surprise! Called Monday, talked to support line about this. They are very nice, professional, and best of all, answer the phonecwith a human! She explained the reverse osmosis naturally flushes water, it's part of the RO process. It will dump 4 gallons for each gallon used. Ok, but not good for drought stricken Bay Area. So it's a deal breaker. So we returned it. Prepping for shipping was fun, have a good bucket ready for draining it. She kindly gave me a model no for a 4 filter non RO machine. Same footprint, $25 less. No drain connection. I ordered that and am awaiting its arrival. I'll update review after it shows tomorrow. I did not bring up the room temp output issue since it's getting replaced. Lastly, the only frustration points is that it is a bit low in height where the cup shelf is. And the drip shelf is a bit anemic in size. It holds a cup, but cannot fit a carafe. So i need to use an interum cup to fill a carafe, or pot for soup. No active person water bottles for me i guess... :( unless I stand there and hold it. To raise it up, This thing needs an 18" - 24" stand. It would be nice if they made one of them drawer adapters like you get for front loadind washer / dryers. I'd like to bring the shelf part to near the kitchen counter height. So I'm looking for something that will work well, preferably a small shelf so I can store extra replacement filters. Water tastes great. Now I await...

Removes the "soft water" taste
My entire home is plumbed for soft water, and I do not like soft water. I do not drink soda pop, or sport drinks, or coffee, or anything other than milk and water. I love tap water and do not need it filtered from the fridge or anywhere else. So, for the past 8 years while living in this home, my husband has been filling a 5 gallon container from a "hard" water spigot and then leaving the container on the laundry room counter for me to drink. Well, he has had enough of hauling in drinking water once a week for me to drink. He thinks it is silly that I don't like the soft water. So, he went looking for a better solution. This water cooler works really well once it is up and running. He made a trip or two to the hardware store, and then discovered that he didn't actually need any of the items that he had purchased. (The instructions could use some work) My first drink, I thought it tasted odd, and he could read my facial expressions. I guess it was the new filters, and me getting used to all the contaminates being gone. I now love this water. I now fill multiple water bottles and leave them around my home so that I don't have to keep going to the machine all day long. I have officially had the unit installed for 6.5 months and the two lights on the right side are blinking. I finally found a number and called Brio. They said the filters need to be replaced. Since it is over $100 to get them directly from the manufacturer, because I can't find them on Amazon anymore, I am going to wait until the water starts tasting bad before I replace them. The taste has changed, it is more sweet, but it still tastes good. Because of this wonderful cooler my 13 year old daughter has become a water snob. She now fills water bottles and takes them with her everywhere she goes. My mom always brings a huge water bottle and fills it at my house each time she visits because she likes it so much.

Showed up not working
First off it was supposed to be delivered on Monday the 27th, didn't show up until Friday !st. That was disappointing. Then I get it installed and no water is coming out of it. Spent time verifying everything and called there "we are here to help" number. The person was very nice how ever didn't know anything about the machine. Just read me what was in the pamplet anyway. So My son pops off the top to what it looked like, Because the buttons had no resistance like it wasn't working and it in fact had all of the push levers attached to the buttons not installed hitting the valves to work the water. Easy fix but makes me wonder about the quality of the machine when it was shipped not working. Hope this is not a preview of problems to come. As of now though the water is ice cold and has no taste.

Perfect Choice To Replace Bottle Dispenser
I chose this dispenser for a number of reasons and am completely satisfied with my choice. I have had a bottle-based dispenser for a few years and the pump finally gave up. I did the math and find that this purchase will pay for itself in 6-9 months (as opposed to the monthly water deliveries), seemed like a no-brainer. I found it very straightforward to install. It came with all the parts and tubing needed for a clean and easy installation and I had no trouble at all. As a note to potential installers: if your under-sink connections are rusty or corroded you may have some trouble. It was otherwise very simple to make the necessary connections, install the filters and fire it up. When first started it was a little noisy as air was worked from the system then it quieted down to a good level. Day-to-day operation is great. The water tastes at least a good as the bottled water we were having delivered, the hot water is very hot and works well for making tea and instant coffee, and the cold water is just right. My only criticism is when the cooling system switches on the grate at the back vibrates. I resolved that as I did with every other device I have ever owned with one of those grates: I tucked a folded up paper napkin between one corner of the grate and the body of the dispenser. Now it's silent. I bought this model based on its excellent reviews and its features and I agree: this is the right choice.

Do not buy. Poor quality machine and terrible customer service
1. Arrived with an outdated manual. It was missing instructions about the installation of the reverse osmosis filter. I learned this through customer service. 2. Unit has a water sensor chip but it’s nowhere to be found in the manual. I learned of it on a hunch as I tried to troubleshoot why the machine was not dispensing water. I prematurely turned on the water without proper connection and water flowed into the machine and landed on the base of the machine where the sensor resides, a.k.a. chip the chip resided. It was designed to prevent the machine from functioning. It automatically shuts the machine down. Nice feature unfortunately, it was not made known or advertised. 3. I called customer service four times for assistance in troubleshooting. They answered two out of four. On call three and four they made me hold I held more than 30 minutes each time and never got an answer. In fact, I was disconnected. 4. I decided to email them since they did not do well with phone inquiries. . Via email the only solution offered in regards for the room temperature water (watch my video) was to use a combination of hot and cold water to make a room temperature. They seriously said that. I got the response three times despite my full disclosure of the problem. They refused to troubleshoot futher. The product was returned. 5. In regards to the material of the dispenser- it’s cheap. It’s all plastic. Except the door that houses the filters that was stainless steel. I think. 6. Installation was somewhat easy if you know how to use the tool they provided. It is used to cut the hose but that was not explained. 7. Prepare for a 20 minute set up each time the filters are exchanged. That is explained in the installation manual.

Not good quality
The room temperature tap doesn’t work, the water that comes out each time is very limited, it is very noisy, wastes soooooooo much water. It’s maybe good for someone that doesn’t drink or use much water, but not good to replace the last one like this that I had. I would NOT purchase this or recommend it to anyone.

Great tasting water
Reviewed several different products before finally landing with this unit. The cold and hot functions are perfect!you won’t be needing any ice with this water. All the parts came with the unit and the instructions were easy to follow, even a not so handy guy like me could do it. The filtration system is top notch! My water straight from the tap had lots of sediments floating in it and was foggy. Not even a Brita tap filter worked. Installed this bad boy and the water was crystal clear. The only downside to this guy would be the water pressure. If you try to fill up a 1.5 litre water bottle you’d get about halfway before the water just starts trickling into it.

Defective water dispenser making dirty drinkiing water
I bought this for my new restaurant, and practically just used 1 week. My customer started to complain about the dirty drinking water, and asked me to bring new water again. I found everytime I use this dispenser, there are some black and white particles floating inside the water. I contacted seller to ask technical support or the support provided by the warranty, and seller's response was "try to replace filter or do maintenance work. Solve it by yourself." They refused to refund it for the reason that the return policy only guarnatees the return within 30 days. They don't care warranty, don't care customer service, and don't care the item is defective and it caused lots of damage on customer's business reputation. They only care 30 days return policy. Don't buy this dispenser and don't buy this from the seller "Golda's Kitchen". They are not responsible for their products. I had stopped using this dispenser after 1 week usage. I cannot servce dirty water to customers. I paid alot but it damaged my business reputaiton
