Great compact and functional storage!
I've been using the Minix SSD storage hub at 240GB (223gb usable) for a couple of weeks now, and I can confidently say it's a fast and convenient storage device, great for quick transfers. It works great on a Dell XPS 15 9560 with thunderbolt drivers updated to the latest firmware and running the latest version of Windows 10,The pictures I've attached shows a 100gb transfer from a Samsung T3 external SSD to the Minix Neo. It starts off very strong hitting the advertised write speeds, although I did find the speeds drop off quite a bit around halfway the total transfer. This seems to happen on any large transfer which is strange, but this might be unique to the fact that I am using a Windows device.I would have really liked an ethernet connection or an SD/micro SD card reader built-in. It would save most people using yet another adaptor or two, especially for those on MacBooks. Although Minix does have similar devices that offer this added functionality, but without the internal storage.Overall I'm really pleased with the form factor, aesthetics and convenience this device offers - I find it so easy to always have this in my bag with data I need to carry with me. I would definitely recommend for both mac and windows users.

Another Top Quality product from MINIX
I’ve had this device for about six weeks now and I have to say I'm really impressed with it.I don't have a MacBook Air or Pro, I'm using mine on my iMac. The results I find; are excellent. MINIX claim it’s the “World's first to combine SSD storage with additional data and display output ports. Delivering high-speed transfers and ultra-convenience.” I have to agree, let's take a look at it in more detail. The white USB C connecting cable which feels like Neoprene; measures 150mm and the Hub itself is 114 x 44 x 11mm. The case is made from Aluminium with the base being of grey plastic construction. It has 1 x HDMI [4K @ 30Hz], 2 x USB 3.0 and USB-C for Power Delivery. Within it holds a well laid out circuit board with SMD components and on the flip side a 240Gb M.2 SSD. It gets quite warm, but the heat is soon dissipated through the metal case. It comes with a 3 year limited warranty.Let's take a look at the specs. MINIX claim it can supports up to 400MB/s read and write speed. (performance may vary depending on MacBook model, OS and application.) I tried my own testing using Amorphous Disk Mark, the results are in the photos but it does perform exactly as MINIX claim with its read/write capability. The UDB C Power delivery function gives excellent results with the voltage remaining steady under load. The 2 x USB 3.0 sockets work a treat and of course allow extra expansion for additional devices or the transfer of data. The HDMI socket, gives picture perfect results even when connecting a projector for a 150 inch display. Plus the 5.1 surround sound is fab too.I know MINIX didn’t intentionally build it for this purpose, but I reformatted the drive on my Android Phone (this format still works with my iMac) and copied some of my music and movies to the MINIX Neo. This allowed me to listen to my favourite bands or watch a Movie whilst traveling (especially useful if your phone does not have the ability to use a Micro SD Card to increase it’s storage)The bottom line is. Yet again MINIX have pulled it out of the hat. This was a great investment for me as I will use it in all sorts of situations. Is it worth the price DEFIANTLY. So for those thinking of buying, I fully recommend it. 5*’s from me.

SSD multi-port hub with USB C pass through - ideal for MacBook but good with any Mac with USB C
For MacBook 2017 (single USB C port) owners this multi-port SSD device really does hit the spot as it has a USB C power pass through port. So you don't need to choose whether to charge or plug something in.I needed extra disk space for photos and videos and transfer other Macs. The SSD disk speeds are impressive and many gigabyte files can be copied quickly and with no hassle and no setup - just plug the device in. Possible to run video from the SSD without any freezing . The two USB 3.0 ports and HDMI help connect wired keyboards and a mouse or a printer and external monitor. I have first signs of RSI so these are important and this device enables me to use the laptop as a desktop in the correct position and is integral for good posture. I would it give it 5 stars if it had an RJ45 as we need these occasionally when the WIFI doesn't work for instance.I ve transferred large photo archive files on to a Mac Book Pro with USB Cs and its so quick. Its a good little, lightweight, well designed, good looking device, which I use most days.

Solid construction & speeds are up to spec.
This has been a great purchase & I'm very pleased with it indeed. It's incredibly well made with a very sturdy but micro-light metal enclosure. Transfer speeds for the internal SSD are as advertised & stated by the manufacturer. It has a very useful light strip on one end too so you know when it's active. All of the ports also have a nice snug fit for the connections. Ideal for outputting video from a USB C source to an HDMI (4K @30) & it's great for quickly transferring data between devices that aren't networked too.Supplied in full MINIX retail packaging with a quick start guide included. All in all, an excellent little device which I would happily recommend. 5/5.

Highly Portable and Versatile
The Bad - No SD card slots. This would be killer and have the full 5 stars if there were some SD card slots as this would be a great all-rounder.The Good - 240GB of SSD that is pretty fast. Great for getting content on to my iPad and as a backup. I travel with my iPad as with the advent of iPad OS the device has become very usable so no need for me to take a full computer. I used this mini hub to connect to an external monitor to present using Powerpoint with the content on the SSD and sit worked perfectly. So no card slots but other than that a perfect travel companion.
