My child favorite pencil
The Uni Kurutoga Mechanical Pencil Standard is a fantastic everyday pencil for writing and drawing. Its unique internal mechanism slowly rotates the lead as you write, keeping the tip sharp and reducing uneven wear. This means cleaner lines and fewer lead breaks compared to regular mechanical pencils. The grip feels comfortable, the build is solid, and it’s lightweight for long writing sessions. Easy to refill and reliable — a great choice for students, artists, and anyone who writes a lot.

Buy if you like not need
I have had other mechanical pencils but this one is the best by far. The pencil is easy to grip, smooth on paper, and strong material. The only problem is the eraser not only because it’s super tiny and can’t erase to save its life. But also because you can’t really use it or else you’ll lose your entry point to put in more lead. But other wise it’s good.

Best Mechanical Pencil
I bought this pencil around February 2018 but never left a review till now that I need a new replacement. This is by far the best mechanical pencil I have ever used. Fast forward to January 30th, 2026, the tip of the pencil came off — it can be twisted back into place, though, not as firmly. I’ve been exclusively using this pencil as my go-to for lab reports/other studies, and it has never failed me. But seeing as I might need to get a new one soon, there’s no other pencil that can compare with its rotating graphite mechanism. I am genuinely so glad I found this pen, it has truly helped me cut back on spending money stationary items I don’t need. Oh, and it looks just like the picture if anyone cared : )

Worth the price, great pencil and very pretty!
Great build quality, and the lead rotation is much more helpful than I originally thought. What’s more, you don’t even feel the lead as it rotates, allowing for a smooth drawing experience. Can’t wait to sketch some more characters with the Lavender Nano Dia lead! Not sponsored, by the way.

Nice pencil with a great mechanism, but feels a little light
I really like the mechanism. The lead rotates slightly as you write, which helps keep the point more even and makes the lines look consistent. It works especially well for notes, small handwriting, and anything where you want a precise 0.5 mm line. The pencil is comfortable to use and the mechanism has worked smoothly for me. I also like the color—it looks nice without being too flashy, which is important to me. My only complaint is that the body feels a little more lightweight and plastic than I expected. It doesn’t feel really cheap, but I would have preferred a slightly more solid grip and overall feel. Still, it’s a very good pencil and the rotating lead system is genuinely useful. I’d recommend it, especially if you write a lot like I do.

Love it, my new favourite pencil
This is my new favourite pencil. It is so smooth to write and doodle with. The pencil is also lightweight enough to not bother my tendonitis. So far, I have had no breakage of pencil lead. Only smooth writing, making it an enjoyable writing experience. I wish pens were as smooth as this pencil, it is that good.

Writes well
Does the job and writes even lines. Would recommend for notetakers and artists if youre looking for fine and precise lines without varying line weight. The pencil is light and plastic so it wont be as durable as metal ones.

The lead doesn’t break/snap.
People who love mechanical pencils like this pencil. I like the barrel colour. I like how it feels in my hand. The mechanics are genius. I don’t understand people saying it is pricey - it’s $9; are they used to dollar store pencils? I usually use a staedler and this may replace my tried and true. The lead really doesn’t snap. Love it.
