Gifted - A Guide for Mediums, Psychics & Intuitives

I found this book almost by accident. You could even say the book came to me right when I needed it. It's incredible!Not only is it well written: it also offers plenty of information and guidance regarding psychic and medium abilities. And it doesn't stop there! It even includes information on helping spirits to cross over, trusting and developing your own abilities, accesing the akashic records, finding your spirit guides, discovering your accompanying ascended masters/goddesses/archangels, receiving their help... and many more topics!Look, I'll be honest! When I arrived to the last chapters regarding ascended masters, goddesses and archangels I was somewhat skeptic; truth being, I even laughed a bit because the act of "communicating" with these "deities" was something I found funny. But I was proven wrong! The very night after reading those chapters I tried doing an exercise with Arcangel Azrael. I had recently been through an episode of sorrow derived from a romantic disappointment, and from what Lisa suggested, Azrael was the one to "call". And so I did: before going to sleep, I asked him for help. The next morning I woke up, and instead of feeling the ache that has accompanied me since I faced said tribulation, I felt calm. I decided then that whenever I felt sadness taking over me, I'd ask Azrael for support. It's been a week: the ache is gone, and I've understood the message of power behind archangels, which has nothing to do with religious beliefs of any sort.Yes: ever since I read this book I've felt more at ease with everything.I've learned that many things that I thought were a little bit "off" with me, are manifestations of my own psychic and medium skills. I thank Lisa for showing me that I'm not a "freak". Her words soothed my spirit, and allowed me to understand that the gifts I've been given are precisely that: wonderful gifts. I've started following her directions, and in a matter of mere days I've already noticed the changes. You could even say I've re-awakened. I've been able to meet one of my spirit guides already, and I've successfully channeled xyr messages. Moreover, I can now hear xem clearly, and can communicate with xem easily.I've also understood a specific episode of clairvoyance I had some years ago, and it has given me a deeper insight into a situation my family has been facing for quite a long time. I've started seeing and sensing the thoughts and concerns of those around me more clearly now that I've rediscovered my abilities and purpose.In other words, Lisa Andres has helped me! Her words and advise are wise, and they're also effective. She knows what she's talking about, and why she talks about it. She's offering this book to help. But as the old saying goes: "Where fall the footsteps of the Master, the ears of those ready for his Teaching open wide." If you don't feel there is a connection at all or that this is not for you, that's perfectly fine! Listen to your "intuition", and look for something that is more attuned to your needs. However, if you DO feel there must be something of interest, go ahead and give it a try! You'll be surprised!Thank you, Lisa!!

My experience with spiritual development has been that I am skeptical about certain topics until I learn more about them from multiple sources. For instance, I came to believe in mediums and the ability to communicate with those who have crossed over, but found myself doubting the whole reincarnation side of things. Then the more I heard and read about that, the less I doubted. I have no trouble believing in angels, but when Lisa mentioned that your spirit guides can include mermaids and unicorns, she lost me. Same goes for talk about past lives in Avalon and Atlantis. Maybe I am just not ready for that information. I believe in the rest, so why not that too? Maybe in time.I will echo what other reviewers have mentioned in that parts of the book are very repetitive. I also found the book to be poorly written and somewhat poorly organized. I suspect that with a good editor, these issues would have been prevented to a large degree. Ultimately, this is a large part of the reason I gave the rating I did.The information I found most helpful was that angels truly want to help us but cannot do so without our permission (due to our right to "free will"). Initially when she mentioned praying to various Archangels for help such as finding car keys, I thought that seemed terribly imposing. But the assurance that the angels wish to help and that helping one person does not make them less available to others made me more comfortable with the idea. I found myself saying prayers to many of them as I read about their areas of focus.All in all it was an interesting read and worth the couple of dollars I paid for the Kindle edition, but I'm hoping there is a more comprehensive, better organized book out there. Lisa goes over a range of topics, such as archangels, ascended masters as well as being a medium for others. She has very uplifting words, but my only gripe is that that for the advanced reader of these topics, they barely graze the surface. Each section takes about two or three pages with the longest, I think being about seven. I still love the book, it was the primer I wish I had when I was starting out, and the small gems of this is the new interpretation for aura and angel colors as well as expanding a bit on other clairs (such as clairailence) that may be more common now than it was before as well as a new clearing incense to use. Just a warning for more seasoned readers on this topic, the bare basics are covered and may barely add anything you don't already know yet. Also, you may have a different point of view as to the symbols and images you're receiving for certain objects that your guide will have already lead you to. But nonetheless, still a must read for people interested in this topic!

I was checking up on my 4 books I have on Amazon, like I'm certain most authors do. And came across this book on the day my Kaos book appeared. So I downloaded it to my kindle. Feeling a feeling when thy psychic voice says. READ IT! I am a medium and have been all my life. But I don't do reading, although I once did all the time. But more like little messages I get when I'd pass someone in the park. I understand completely how this gift we both were blessed with will get us to get our job before we have to say good-bye. I wrote my book 5 years after my dad's death and that was back on a typewriter back in 85. who would have known my books would one day come alive. At the right time too. I even plugged into an angel named Loki and also called himself Dilly if he was in the mood. and it flies out my fingers what I heard in my head. So I put on my chook (silver foil paper hat) and wrote me a book...and then another and another. So Lisa, thanks for letting me know for certain I'm not at all mad. Enjoyed this book. Lots of insights into numerous spiritual matters, for example, psychic readings, Angels and Indigo Children to name but a few. If this is your interest, give this book a read. Clear and well written.

Gifted gives good background information about developing one's psychic qualities. Lisa Andres has helped me realise that you should never dismiss your hunches and that they are a great source of knowledge. Clearly written. A great read!

Thought this book was a good read and I like the extra bit about indigo adults at the end can relate to that , good knowledge given would recommend reading.

An excellent read. Very easy to read and full of truths . I really enjoyed it and found myself really close to the author and her personal life stories . A must read if you feel you need answers about your spiritual self .
