Klarus XT21X Tactical Rechargeable Flashlight 4000 Lumen LED Light Bundle with Lumintrail USB Wall Adapter

Great tactical flashlight. Incredibly bright.However, after just two months, the side switch has failed. I can still operate the flashlight with the tactical buttons but I can no longer control settings. I would not buy this flashlight again for what I paid for it.Update 01-14-20: Keep in mind that this update delay is mostly my fault. I was a little slow in contacting Klarus but they were very quick (about 24hrs) to get back to me. The side switch is back to working. I was able to contact Klarus though [email protected]. Jenifer Liu sent me an email with a simple fix. By removing the rubber side switch button with a toothpick (just use the toothpick to pry under the rubber and pop it out), I was able to access the switch, with the toothpick, directly to see if there was a problem. She even included a video on how to do it so I suspect that this is a problem and is why I am only giving it 4 stars. The rubber part of the button is connected to a plastic rod that reaches into the depths of the flashlight to activate the switch located on a circuit board. I suspect that by its design, this rod slipped off of the internal switch which caused it to operate improperly. I simply reinstalled the rubber switch which repositioned the rod and it is working as originally designed. The fix might have taken me 2 minutes only because I was slightly unsure of what I was doing. I am back to loving this torch!

** I was really hesitant at first when comparing it to other high end power-houses of its class ,,, hesitant that it might not deliver as promised. ,,,, then I decided to buy the two top contenders along with this one just in case.BUT I FELL IN LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT ...!I fell in love with two contenders, to be fair ,,,, I fell in love with this beauty and its sibling; "" Wuben T-70"" ,,,,,,, They both utilize the mighty Cree XHP-70.2 ,,,, a power-hungry monster of an LED, which delivers on demand.I fell in love with their design beauty. ,,, Design beauty is as important in evaluating flashlights as quality, power and features. ,,, These flashlights are meant to last years in service and camping equipment chit chat. ,,, If your flash light delivers brute power only, and no features,, you tend to missi only what you can get by, OK, without. ,,, If your flashlight ,, however ,,delivers on both power and features only,,, but looks B#$&TT UGLY ,,,, You would most likely try hard to find reasons not to pull it out of your gear bag in public view.AT LEAST, I DO ...!This one ,,, to my immense pleasure ,,, turned out to have both looks and brain as well as brute power ,,, a killer combination ,, not an over-kill. ,,, Simply stated, it is everything you would want in a flashlight,, small enough to drop in your coat pocket,, and big enough to house a huge 26650 battery which provides enough power to light an entire campground.Try it at turbo mode in the eyes of an approaching skunk ,, all tail raised and ready to stink the planet because you've invaded its mating domain. ,,, That skunk will grow wings and fly in a flash ,,,, but will return only twice. ,,, The first time is because he didn't believe his eyes. ,,, The second time is because he's a "Retard". ,,,,,,, But,, by that time,, it's too late for him to regain his eyesight before mating season next "Blood Moon" ....!In not so many words,,, this thing comes to us straight out of the core of the Sun. ,,,,,,,, Did I say, it's a beauty ??? ..... Just in case I might've forgotten.....The fact that it offers four (4) intensity levels makes it one of the most versatile high-powered EDC on the market . ,,, Look at it from this perspective ,,,,, 1) At 3000 lumens turbo,, it is the quintessential, true floodlight,,, and outdoors search and recreational light. 2) At 650lumens,,, it is one of the most useful and brightest outdoors general utility light. ,,, 3) at 160 lumens ,, it is the most useful household and indoors emergency flashlight. ,,, 4) At 15 lumens,, it is your friendliest non-blinding light when looking for your girlfriend's kitty cat clowning around, and stubbornly refusing to come out from its favorite hide out in your messy, and untidy den.For photography,, being a serious hobby of mine,,, I discovered a wonderful use for a combination of two of this XT-21X. ,,, It is a true flood light, therefore, it does not produce harsh, focused beam, which results in very unpleasant images when photographing people.Out at camp after sunset,, I used one Klarus G20 diffused with a white mesh for frontal light,,, and a second Klarus 21X as is for a 45° side accent light. ,,,,, The result out of my Nikon D850 was brilliant for group camp photographs. ,,,,, You can't possibly get such brilliant results with just any flashlight. ,,,,, This Klarus 21X is Awesome. ,,,, I mean ,, really so versatile that I can't think of any scenario requiring a flashlight that would be beyond its capabilities.The quality is outstanding. Heavy gauge Alumimum giving the light a very solid and substantial feel. ,,,, Heavy anodization that should stand a drop in a concentrated hydrochloric asid, ,,,, and beautiful post-machining hand finishing that adds brilliance as well as a smooth silky touch.The reflector is, by design, one with a shallow focal length in order to produce a true flood effect with a very smooth transition from its inner circular core, spreading out in an ultra wide light casting pattern. ,,,, you still have about 10% beam that travels approximately a 100' in front of you. ,,,, This is, by far, the best flood light I have ever come across.The battery is a gigantic 26650 proprietary 5000mah designed to provide enough current for the turbo mode,, and excellent time at high mode,,, with, hundreds of hours in extended time at practical or reading mode.Heat sinking in this 21X,, I have found,, to be a compromise to design appeal. ,,,, in this respect,, it is indeed the best of both.,,,,, Turbo mode requires a lot of draw current. The LED XPH-70.2 is power hungry ,,,,,, the battery is capable, and the result is conversion of high current into high light intensity and heat byproduct. ,,,,, This is the law of Physics and not a design flaw in the flashlight,,, therefore,,, from an engineering perspective,, the compromise is one of an marketing choice intended for very specific purposes. ,,,,, In this respect,,, as an engineer,, I believe it is a great success.THIS IS GOING TO BE ONE OF MY FAVORITE GENERAL UTILITY AND CAMPING FLASHLIGHTS.☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆**

Flashlight is great, the customer service at this company is HORRIBLE. Tried to exchange a faulty product and got completely blown off and told to contact manufacturer. This is my 2nd bad review ever. Have to be really bad to get a bad review from me.

Flashlight got really hot within about 4 minutes of use. Other similar lights didn’t get as hot this quickly. Out of three lights I considered, this one was third due to dimmest light output and heat generated.

Love Klarus lights. Great tactical interface with 3 switches. Instant access to turbo and strobe. The 21700 battery provides much more power than a 18650.

Awesome light. Very bright!

The button and charging cover fell apart after a month and very few uses. I've bought flashlights from Walmart that held up better than this one
