. Review: Andy Williams-An American Icon - Throughout my life, there was always one song, I had listened to that stuck with me from a young man until today! Whether, it was Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, or the Monkees. Andy Williams, was among those artists, who stands out as, one of the greatest singers of all time. I recently purchased the audio CD, "Andy Williams' Greatest Hits", and I love every song on this CD, but there is one song, in paticular that stands out the most, the song titled, Almost There. I first heard this romantic piece, in the 1961 movie: I'd Rather be Rich, which starred such greats as, Maurice Chevalier, Sandra Dee, Robert Goulet, another all-time great, and Andy Williams himself, who portrayed a character, by the name of Warren Palmer! During one part the movie, as Andy, and Sandra Dee, are driving to an unknown destination, he begins singing this lovely song to her. I can still see that image in my mind. The song itself, coupled with Andy Williams' unique voice etched that moment in my mind, for almost 50 years. Joe Scalise. Smooth easy familiar, thats how I would describe Mr Williams. His style was laid back and his voice was natural: no gimmicks or artifices were used in recordings in those days. I LOVE some of the most treasured movie themes: Charade, Moon River, More, Born Free: and its a treat to find these in one album.

Splendid trip down memory lane
I had a much older sister who listened to the pop records of the 1960s. I was so happy to find one of my favorites, Andy Williams, available in this format. A terrific album!
Andy and his staff over the years selected music that was perfect for Andy's voice and appeal and here they are all in one place! I can visualize him so clearly singing in the prime of his life. He did not alter his style from his early days in Iowa singing with his two brothers and he made charity events when he was getting pretty old and not in the best of health. All honor to his memory. Andy Williams was always a favorite of my family. His fantastic and touching delivery of his music 🎶 is heart felt.

Reminscent of growing up
My mom listened and appreciated his music. I like the ability to listen now myself and do not dislike it at this time. I would recommend it to a friend if they asked.

Add some joy to your life ...listen to a little Andy
Love listening to this type of music! Andy Williams and singers of his time had the smooth relaxing voice.not frantic, yelling, screaming, running around stage, jumping up and down. Love it! It’s for my personal enjoyment and it really is enjoyment.

FEN（現在のAFN） や一般ラジオの洋楽番組を沢山聞いていた時代のおそらくBILBOARD誌のヒットシングルチャートに初めてベスト１０入りした最初のヒット曲 Can't get used to loosing to love you (邦題 愛さずにはいられない） 但し発売時のシングル盤ではB面（積まりレコード会社では売れないと思われていた）となっていた名曲がはいっているCDです。 一般的に有名な曲も網羅されお勧めのCDです。 ぜひファンでない方も聞けば彼の歌が大好きになりますよ
