It is a good fit for my TSI engine and made the cleaning process easier
I used this adapter to carbon clean the intake valves of my 2010 Passat's TSI engine and it worked really well. The adapter required some pressure to fully seat. RKX's listing pictures show a shop vac adapter connected directly to their blaster adapter but that limits how you can angle the blaster. Instead I used a flexible 1" hose at an angle and then connected that to a shop vac adapter. I used the white ceramic snub nose adapter that comes with the Harbor Freight blaster and switched to a DIY wand I could insert into the blaster adapter hole to get closer and tackle problem areas like the back of some valves. To clean problem areas you may need to blast precisely on them. It took me 3 afternoons to carbon clean all the intake valves. I reused the walnut fine grit several times. One cylinder's intake valves were much harder to clean than the other cylinders and I don't know why. If you want more detail I documented my carbon cleaning experience in passatworld B6 Garage thread "My notes for walnut blasting the intake valves".

Good alternative for an oem tool
Works great

The proper tool makes for an easy execution. This is the proper tool.
This worked perfectly. It actually "snapped" in, it was such a perfect fit, and made an excellent seal (2014 VW CC 2.0). While the snap won't hold it there unattended while you are blasting, it confirms a nice seal, and you just hold it in place with one hand, while working your blast gun with the other. All in all, maybe a teaspoon of media got away from the vacuum, and fell down along the machined ridge just below the intakes. The whole process was made easier by this adaptor, which can be expected when you have the right gear. I've seen others use a jury rig setup, with towels and hand cut pieces of cardboard and plastic. And all that just doesn't makes sense if you can get your hands on one of these. As blasting the carbon is a regular maintenance, recommended every 30k miles, you may as well own this IMO. I posted a before and after of blasting just for the heck of it. Uncertain if this will work on my 1.8 Jetta head as well, as the port may be a different size.

works
work with effort, limits movement due to small size, not the easiest to keep in place while blasting

Clean valves, no problems
A bit more pricier than other similar products but designed much better. Cleared the valves on an Audi S5 no problem and no walnut bits escaped the seal.

This can be used to walnut blast a 2009 VW EOS 2.0T TSI (a bit awkward to use)
To use this, 1) I found I needed to add an extension onto my gun so that the barrel was about 15 inches long. 2) I needed to drill the hole a little larger so that I could slip the barrel through the hole. In hindsight, maybe I should have left the hole the same size and just pressed the barrel of the gun against the hole. That may have worked. 3) The hole for the vacuum did not match my vacuum which was a Craftsman shop vac. It would have worked better if I took the time to find a hose or adapter that would allow me to do this without having to hold this device in place while holding the vacuum hose while pointing the walnut blaster gun at the same time. This device did fit the hole for the valves perfectly, However when I moved the barrel of the gun around it caused this device to pull away from the engine flange, and I ended up with walnut shells all over the engine bay. I purchased an attachment that fit my shopvac and drilled a hole in it, which was easier to use. Still not a perfect solution but less messy. This did work though. It just took longer.

Works great on the modern Audi/VW 2.0T engines I work on in our shop. (more below)
Bought it for use on modern VW and Audi engines in my shop. I run some 1" clear PVC hose between this adapter and the vacuum hose on the walnut blaster. Makes for a smooth experience. I hold the hose to keep even pressure of the adapter to the cylinder head and intake port. No mess, no issues. Very pleased.

Makes a messy job easy
This tool has made cleaning the valves on my Jetta a breeze. Vacuum hose fits on it perfectly and it has a little ridge on the bottom that helps keep it in place. It was 1/3 of the cost of another similar tool I looked at so a great price and worth the money.

Fit like a glove, worked like a charm.
Used on my Audi 3.0t (supercharged) Plastic is durable and fit is good. Fit perfectly snug but will need to be held in place due to the weight of the vacuum attachment. Had to drill out the hole for the walnut blaster because my gun had a fairly large nozzle. This was my first time carbon cleaning anything and this attachment made it a breeze. Two thumbs up, would buy again.

Does NOT fit 3.0 TFSI
Does NOT fit 3.0TFSI intakes. The plastic lip underneath that is supposed to go inside the opening to "seal" it so the abrasive material doesn't come out is too big and the cover does not lay flat on the engine. Other than that, seems pretty solid.
