Excellent Dual-Band Antenna at a Great Price
I bought this antenna to replace a Comet antenna that broke, and I have to say, Iโm impressed. Despite being half the price of the Comet, this antenna performs just as well, if not better, in many respects. The transmit and receive quality is excellent across 2m, 70cm, GMRS, and MURS bands. Signals come in clear and strong, even at a distance, and my transmissions are consistently reported as crisp. Itโs a pretuned dual-band antenna, so setup was quick and easyโjust mount and go. The build quality feels solid, and it holds up well to outdoor conditions, which is important for anyone needing reliable performance in various environments. At 150 watts, it handles plenty of power for most applications, making it versatile enough for both base and mobile setups. If youโre looking for an affordable yet high-performing dual-band antenna, this is a fantastic choice. It exceeded my expectations and is an excellent value for the price.

Good Quality, Well Made, Works Great!
My favorite go-to dual band antenna, i have been using the Tram 1180 for over a decade now on multiple vehicles, its a really good antenna, SWR is where it should be according the analyzer, functions like it should, its durable and takes a beating. Looks good, it blends in with other commercially used antennas and doesn't stand out. Overall just a great antenna that gets the job done on a daily basis.

Good Antenna
Great antenna for my scanner. Antenna is for VHF-Hi and UHF, but works well enough on VHF-Lo that I'm able to hear CHP on my scanner with no problems. Super easy to install, just unscrew the old and install this one. Definitely recommend.

Good budget antenna
I purchased this antenna to mount on my Jeep with my B-Tech UV-25X2. Mounted it on my rear tire carrier and it stands about a little over a foot about the roofline. Between this radio and antenna combination, I have much better reception and transmission that I used to have with a handheld radio. No need to spend a lot of money for some of the big and expensive name brand antennas. This works great and has a reasonable price.

Antenna Blast
I really like this simple antenna. This is the 150watt model and is perhaps a little more robust. I checked the tuning on it and it was set for 144mhz and 445 to start with I took about 1/4" maybe just a squosh more and and perhaps just a bit less than a 1/4" off of the top element. So probably about 3/8" between the two elements. I ended up at 1.34:1 at 146mhz the SWR didn't change it was the same as the original factory cut at 144mhz the 70cm band went from 445mhz to 448 and I think the SWR was a tiny bit better at 1.16:1. It works significantly better than the little Tram 1/4 wave dual band antenna with probably a 19 inch whip with a coil antenna with a three inch magnet and RG58 coax which works much better than the tiny dual band antenna with a one inch magnet and RG174 coax. Handy but that's about it. So far I like it but need to go on a road trip with it now. I can now open up the repeater about eighty miles away on 25 watts but didn't try a QSO yet.

Only had it on my vehicle a few days
At this point I really can't say to much about it. Only because I have not had the opportunity to really field test it yet. I did talk to a friend about 15 miles away in his mobile using the same antenna on low power. His is on a headache rack and mine is on a fender mount and I don't use repeaters for talking around town or back to my base. I look at it like this if you have to use a repeater to talk around San Antonio TX. Then you don't have a very good antenna on your vehicle. So far as I have used it so far. It is working well on a fender mount on my truck.

Excellent Antenna. SAME, EXACT thing as the two "Bigger Names" that cost more!
Let me preface by saying this is the first NMO mount antenna I've ever purchased. Ordered the matching 5 inch extremely powerful NMO mag mount (Also Tram) for it. (WOW, what a magnet!). Came with a nice little allen wrench BUT was pre-tuned perfectly out of the "bag"...(2m and 440)....Hooking it up, I IMMEADIATELY noticed much, MUCH stronger reception and I was able to get reports back on a pair of my closest repeators, sitting in my yard, one Southerly, 32 miles away, the other about 27 miles to my West on a mere 5 watts. Can't ait to try what I can reach on 50...(I was picking up a repeator clearly from Mt.Mitchell, NC...6500 ft elevation helps ofcourse BUT it's still 135+ miles away!. (AND my yard is full of trees). I still have an old 1/4 Wave Tram from 35 years ago.....They make great antennas that are exactly like the other "Two Big Names" BECAUSE all 3 are owned by the same company! Not a knock on the other "names" BUT why spend 25 to 50 bux or MORE for the exact....Same....Thing? Can't wait to try getting on a net tonight that's a little over 72 miles away on Caesar's Head Mtn. (about 3500 ft).... SO glad period, to be back in the "ham radio fold" again.

Works well and has a strong magnet.
Works well enough to reach most of my local repeaters and has a good strong magnetic mount.

Bang for the buck!!!
The antenna arrived well protected in an over-sized box. Good job Amazon! It measured about 1/2 inch shorter than my old Diamond antenna I've had for about 10 years so I was a little concerned about how it was tuned. After testing, I made a CQ contact on a repeater which I always find hard to reach from my location due to a geographical feature in the way.
