Absolutely ESSENTIAL for the die-hard fan
This double CD contains LOTS of rarities recorded during her Decca period (1952-1957) that you can't get elsewhere, and I must say that I adored all of them. ("Mr. Magoo Does the Cha Cha Cha" is one of the cutest and most cheerful things I've ever heard!). Therefore, this release is A MUST if you're a Peggy completist.Furthermore, you also get many of her greatest hits at Decca and, from my humble point of view, this is the best sounding collection of such songs. "Sans Souci", "This is a Very Special Day", "Lover", "Sing A Rainbow" and "Just One of Those Things" -among many others- are some of my most favorite Peggy songs ever, and I don't think I've ever listened to them in such a clear, crisp way before. The sound quality is simply magnificent; the remastering work is terrific, which is certainly something to be grateful for.

The Rarest Decca Sides
For those listeners who have been struck with PEGMANIA, here's more super-rare treats to whet the appetite! The "Lady & The Tramp" studio recordings, and duets with Bing, the Mills Bros., and the legendary Jimmie Rowles. An absolute must for completists! (My favorite on this set is the wistful "The Tavern", a teary ballad about lovers who must meet in secret.)
