Pantai Chili Paste with Soya Bean Oil

I'm a chef living in a rural area. I always cook using indigenous ingredients. This is a great product with fair pricing. Other brands charge much more for a miniscule size that you can't even fit a teaspoon into. I recommend this for use in Asian cooking.

I really like the spice paste. It basically includes all the ingredients necessary to make a Thai fried rice except fish sauce and sugar, so making a quick, delicious lunch with it is very convenient. Also serves as a good addition to pad Thai sauce if you're unable to get lemongrass or galangal root. One warning: use it quickly, or refrigerate it under the coldest setting with the lid tightly closed. I'm not sure this is meant to be stored beyond a month or two

Exceptional Tum Yum chili paste. Nice heat and depth of flavor which rounds out Tum Yum soup.

The product is good as usual. But you need to pack it way better than this. The product contained oil and also in a glass container. Only one little piece of bubble wrap didn’t do any good . I’m surprised that made it in a one whole piece by the time I got it!! The oil leaked all over and through the box got all over my hands and other things in the box.

I am SO GLAD I found this!! You do pay a pretty penny for such a small jar but I think it’s worth it because making your own costs twice as much and the labor is extensive. I’ve only used it so far to make prik pao (which was a huge hit at my house) but I think it is quite versatile. It smells horrible but that’s probably just me. The jar came tightly wrapped in bubble wrap and surrounded by packing bubbles so it was very protected during transport

The flavor is great not too sweet…not too spicey

Love this shrimp paste very much. My dishes never taste better when cooking Thai dishes.

perfect spiciness, not fishy, not too much garlic
