an umbrella of this price and size should come with a heavy duty weight base the cheap cross stand does not work we put it together and the moment we opened it it fell over than goodness the little ones were not around this is a huge liability one should not have to pay extra for the safety of a product it should already include all parts with the safety of the customer in mind. I can't get over the fact that the little ones could have been around when it tumbled to the floor its just standing on the deck closed there is no use for it unless I go and purchase a base for yet another $160.00 dollars DON'T BUY IT!!!!!!!!!!!

All of the materials seem to be high quality. Assembly was very easy. I poured a concrete base and provided my own bolts to anchor it. The crank and slide operation is smooth and easy. The swivel is a little hard to lock into position. It seems like there should be more positions. As strong as the parts seem to be, I am a little disappointed how much it moves in the wind. I worry that something will break, with 20 mph winds - nothing has broken yet, but I don't leave it up much in the wind. I bought a separate cover to help reduce wear. Cover is a Strong Camel brand, for 9-11' umbrellas. It is a perfect fit. Many others would have been much too big.

We purchased this umbrella based on the photos online, all of which showed a sturdy base (for sand/water, to prevent falling over in the wind). We were disappointed and angry when the umbrella arrived without the sturdy base. An umbrella in this price range should include a base; buyer should not need to pay an additional $170 to prevent the umbrella from falling. (Note: after further digging on the website, I did see "item not included" with a little arrow pointing to the base.)We returned this item immediately and purchased another one from a different store.

The umbrella was way nicer than I was expecting. Very well made. Easy to assemble and use. Great product!

Umbrella description was correct. I do believe the umbrella material is better than average and that the metal is reinforced. very happy with umbrella.

We had a problem with our base (picture was not what was delivered) but the seller was very accomodating and resolved it.
