An easy repair for my wooden bifold closet door

Fixed my closet door so I didn't need to purchase a new door. It's a bit tight but a few taps from a mallet and it goes on.

These fit the bottom and top of my bi-fold closet doors perfectly and saved me having to replace the doors entirely, while just costing a few bucks. I had searched both Lowes and Ace Hardware and neither place sold a kit to repair a closet door where the hardware connects on the bottom and top of the door. I thought I might have to buy all new doors, but this product completely fixed the issue I was having of the door always falling off their mountings. It only took about 5 minutes to install and my doors are back up, even better than new.

This was just the ticket for fixing a door where the front panel had come loose. If you are looking at this listing you’re probably aware that it is for the less common size of 1 1/8 inch thickness. It wasn’t clear to me in the listing if it came with one or two pieces, but it did have two brackets with bushings and screws in the pack even though I only needed one.

I am the least handy person on this planet. But when the bottom pivot on my bifold door basically collapsed, I found this wonderful product. I was not so sure that this would work and I was even looking at just buying a new set of doors. But it worked! It was easy to install and took less than ten minutes!

I saw a video on YouTube using this product and I just had to have one. The bottom hole, on my bifold door, where the pivot pin is located was broken out. A “pro” described a lengthy process to fix. I neither had the expertise nor the tools, so I went to YouTube. This product was featured so I ordered one. One of best, least inexpensive purchase I’ve made. Easy and quick. Wham bam, the door was back up. Highly, highly recommended.

Great product. I had two of six closet bifold doors with the lower and upper pivot holes worn out. I repaired the doors with these brackets and installed them also on the rest of the undamaged doors just for prevention. Ensure to measure the door thickness (mine are 1 1/8 inch). I had to spread the bracket out just a little to make it fit. Also, the holes in the brackets are for 10 mm fixtures, I had to buy new pivots and rail wheels 10mm in size, but mine were in bad shape anyway. This product comes with a screw and plastic caps to ensure the fixtures to be a tight fit. I used 3 brackets per bifold door, one for upper pivot, one for the lower pivot and one for the rail wheel (this one could be optional, the bulk of the door weight goes on the pivots).

it would not fit my bifold door. It was too narrow to fit the thickness of the door and I have a standard door. In the end, I had to improvise something else to fix my issue. I am returning the product.
