Please be aware that all you get is the wood strip, it comes with no installation hardware, this could be because you might install this in multiple ways. When I looked at thresholds in the local hardware stores, they all came pre drilled and with screws, not so in this case, it is not predrilled and there are no screws provided. This was perfect in my situation as we needed to glue the item down using liquid nails as we did not wish to drill into the concrete floor to install. This allowed us to transition between tile and carpet, the main reason was to cover some ragged carpet edging. I am not sure if there is really any finish on this item either, we sprayed it with a clear coat to add some protection and to make it easier to clean going forward if need be. I am knocking a star off though for lack of hardware to install should you need it, I understand that its a cheap item already, but a few cents of screws being included would have made the package seem more complete. I will however be purchasing several more for the other doors in the house! If you do not need hardware (or you have your own) or plan to install with glue as I did, these are a great approach!

It is exactly what I was looking for to cover the space between a hardwood floor and tile flooring. Unfortunately it is a bit thin, and when I screwed it down it started to split. I backed off the screw a bit and it has served well for a couple of years now.

I am still to receive the correct bit to grove the wooden frame so that i can use this strip.
