Works where other band-aids are too painful, fall off, and become oversaturated
This band-aid acts like real skin. It seals, protects, and cushions the wound while keeping it moist so that it heals better, and it is strong and stretchy enough to stay in place for over a day (have had them on for about 30hrs). It also does not make my skin pruny with moisture like other band-aids(which can become painful after too much time). Unlike the pads on traditional band-aids that become saturated with blood, etc. and rub against the sensitive areas painfully, this is smooth enough to go right over the painful missing skin on my wound without hurting throughout the day and it seals the wound without becoming disgusting.I bought these at a drug store when I really wanted to find something to cover my difficult, deep, and painful exposed wound. I am so happy with them, that I searched for the product online just to write positive reviews about them. I will probably use regular band-aids for many of my cuts, but for the really tough to care for ones, I will definitely use these as they are worth every penny in those cases.I got a deep cut that removed a lot of skin right on the inside joint of my finger. Regular band-aids became too saturated, would not stay adhered, and had to be replaced frequently. What I really needed was something that would cover the exposed area like real skin. Otherwise I knew it would be very painful, take a long time to heal, and be very likely to get infected. These adhere very well and do not come off like other band-aids. It is true, you need to be careful when removing them because of this, but the great part about these is that if you clean the wound well initially, you don't need to remove them for a long time.*Note: Your really need to get them stuck on well and in the right place the first time. The adhesion is not as good if you pull it off and reposition it. Also, if you can wrap them so that they stick to themselves, they will stay on much better and longer. If it does start to come off, you can cut off the dangling part and leave the rest on.

Waterproof'ish, But not 100%.
I have to say that I was amazed with these bandages when I first received them. I had an injury on the pad of my thumb and was able to bandage it up once and have that bandage survive SEVERAL loads of hand-washed dishes, showers and probably 10+ vigorous hand washings per day. They also are less susceptible to edge-rolling when you put your hand in your pocket or dry them with a towel -- not 100%, but better than other styles that I have tried. On a few occasions, they did loosen during prolonged contact with warm, soapy water but never completely fell off and, amazingly, re-adhered as soon as the area was dry! That is clearly very much better than any other bandage I have ever tried, with the possible exception of Liquid Skin (http://amzn.com/B000P9ENZY) which would survive a direct encounter with a food processor but burns like lava and cannot be used with healing aids like Neosporin. So I was thrilled with these little gems -- then I injured a knuckle. I'm not clumsy. Really. Just had a bad run. :-)So I confidently reached for by new Activ-Flex bandages but was disappointed when, in less than 2 hours of 100% dry use (just flexing the joint), it lost all adhesion and fell to the floor.So... These bandages are very comfortable and reliable in wet (warm, soapy water full immersion) or dry use so long as your injury is not in the area of a joint, nor would it require the bandage to cross a joint in order to affix it to your injury. They're also pretty expensive. But given the durability of each bandage (in non-moving applications), and considering how many "standard" bandages you'd go through during normal use, I figure it probably balances out. I had one bandage remain in place for just over 4 days, even though I removed it to inspect and clean the area a few times.

WONDERFUL...but...(almost perfect but not quite)...
PROs: As everyone else has noted, these are amazing band-aids, especially for difficult areas. I deeply cut the top joint of my finger and managed to get one of these goodies on it such that it acted almost like stitches, keeping everything together and stopping the bleeding, as well as keeping it clean.CONs: even though i tried to keep water from getting under the bandage, water did eventually seep in and it was a major project to remove the bandage without damaging the beautifully healing wound because the water had turned the inside of the bandage into a mass of sticky goop and there was no way to remove the bandage without pulling. I finally cut off the bandage with scissors, leaving some of the goop on the wound so as to avoid disturbing it any further.Bottom line: perfection has not yet been achieved but these band-aids are still essential first-aid tools and i would not hesitate to use them again. (But would be much more careful about keeping the area dry).Note to manufacturer: please use materials that do not interact with water to create glue inside.UPDATE: i've found that running very warm water around one edge of the band-aid so that it gets underneath it helps a great deal in releasing the powerful stickiness and gently removing the bandaid.
