The Face That Demonstrates The Farce of Evolution

"The Face" does a great job of laying out the "facts" of evolution. Some of the areas covered are the survival of the fittest, Pseudosaurs, Punctuated Equilibrium, the eye, the egg, entropy (my favorite), and recapitulation. Also tackled are such subjects as Theological Evolution, empirical science, and the fossil "evidence." The appendices include information on Bible origins, human cloning, and refuting abortion arguments. Hanegraaff's writing style is succinct and to the point, being enjoyable without boring (a must when presenting what could be extremely dry material). A very useful and interesting book.

Having already reviewed the book I would like to go on and add a couple of comments on the audio version. While the material was well presented and Hanegraaff has a clear speaking voice, there were times that the background score began to drown him out. The music could have been better chosen and more subdued. The majority of the important text from the book is presented however, and listeners will not be disappointed.

this book is a must read for college students and all Christians. This book will prepare you to answer and explain our faith in our Creator to anyone challenging our faith in God.

Hank has masterfully laid out using emperical science to show that evolution is impossible. The bottom line is simple: Darwin said that the archeological record would bare him out, and it has not. There has never been a transatory species discovered because they do not exist. Creation has a creator, a designer, and his name is Jesus.

Good book to read for those interested in debating evolution in a biblical perspective. This book is not a complete solution, but a good start for a debate.

I think this book does a good job exposing evolution as not fact, but as it should remain, a theory. Hank does a nice job making complex topics easy to understand.

The author's argument rests on the notion that if anyone has ever printed anything, then it must be true. The argument can be summarized thus:"One time, somebody published a paper, claiming that carbon-dating is erroneous. Therefore, carbon-dating must be erroneous. One time, somebody published a paper, claiming that there is an error in the theory of natural selection. Therefore the theory of natural selection must be erroneous."There is not an ounce of science in this book. Not a gram. Not a nano-gram.

I ordered this book on the strength of a recommendation by a reviewer who was evidently underwhelmed by its contents and I think was keen to expose its allegedly poor logic. If I’d troubled to look at the date of publication I may well have thought twice - it is showing its age - however I don’t regret reading it because, although many of the issues against evolution and in favour of creation that this book raises have been regurgitated by creationists and I.d. proponents many times in the intervening years, it is on the button for its time and a handy reference for the ducking and diving and even imaginative frauds evolutionists have engaged in to try to make facts and theory harmonise. The book also highlights some of the social consequences of a purely materialistic worldview. The book is fine up until the Epilogue where it takes on a more religious tone and outlines what Christians must now do having been supplied with all this anti-evolution ammunition. I personally found this unnecessary simply because anyone who takes the serious step of baptism as a Christian knows what he or she is signing up to and promoting Biblical creation would inevitably be involved in that. (I am not a creationist by the way). So, this book with its rather clumsy title (the significance of which becomes apparent as one read it through) is now a little out of date but is a pleasant read and pretty informative but its audience is young earth Christians who the author feels need help with promoting their creationist beliefs.
