Loooove this bag!!! Great for day hiking!
I wanted to wait to review this bag until it's had some practical use, and that came a few days ago when I wore it to a local parade. I wanted something that was sturdy, not unduly hot in summer temps, lightweight enough to wear for hours at a time, and of course, large enough to hold the items I wanted to carry. My primary purpose for this bag is (1) to take with me when we go on outings with grandchildren, and (2) to carry essentials when day hiking in mountains. Let's start with the grandkids! I wanted to be hands-free to support the kids in their first parade experience among a lot of strangers. When they darted into the street to grab candy that was thrown by participants, not once did I worry about the bag staying on me or restricting my movement. It was securely on, comfortable, and I didn't give it a second thought. Secondly, I wanted to make sure that all the items stayed where I'd put them as the bag was jostled. I had my phone, money, personal items like lip balm and OTC meds, and supplies for kids such as small toys to keep them occupied if the start of the parade ran long, as well as snacks (pre-candy) and wet wipes. There was plenty of room for all of that with room to spare. I mostly wore it with the bag in the front because that was comfortable to me, but I did try switching it to the back to see how the comfort and wearability was. Both worked fine either way. I'm really excited to use this when I go on day hikes in the mountains. I don't need the bulk or size of a backpack, and I don't find them comfortable when I'm hiking anyway. I usually carry a DSLR camera slung over one shoulder. Because this backpack is a crossbody, it works well with a crossbody camera strap. The bag can be arranged to actually support the camera to get less bounce, while keeping it accessible. When hiking, I'll have my phone, keys, water bottles, snacks and a sandwich, personal items, extra camera equipment, a lightweight rain jacket that compresses tightly, anything else that the weather suggests such as a stocking cap and gloves. All of that will be a tight fit but that's exactly what I want. I want the smallest bag necessary to hold the things I feel I need to take on the hike. This bag fits that description perfectly! I had a hard time choosing the color of the bag but I went with the color that was the most fun to me. Maybe black would have been more fashionable, a brighter color more feminine, gray to be more color coordinated with my attire, but this color is fun, and that's what I went with. It does not disappoint. Some people have suggested that the bag has a smell? Maybe from shipping, only when it's first opened. I take no issue with the way it smells, and can't imagine that it would retain an odor in the great outdoors even if it had one to begin with. I love this bag! I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. The price was good for this level of quality.

Front storage is great, useful small bag
The front section is what I use the most for holding a phone or other valuables in a place where you can keep an eye on them. The back, main part is useful too. This is a small backpack but slings on easily and weighs very little when empty, so it's no problem to put on when taking a walk, on vacation, etc. Neutral appearance looks better than most 'fanny pack' type bags, more sporty than some other bags you'd use on vacation or hikes. The slightly padded strap is comfortable on your shoulders, although I never put anything really heavy into it. If this kind of smaller backpack meets your needs, this one is a winner.

Great for Hikes and small activities
I got this for my trip where there would be a lot of outdoor activities and hikes. I picked this because a reviewer mentioned having neck/shoulder problems and this cross body didn't give them any neck strain. They were right. I ended up using this cross body 6-8 hours a day with zero problems and even having to pack a change of clothes much to my chagrin. While I majorly regretted not bringing a bigger backpack for excursions I made it work and the bag worked with me. While it would have been helpful to have a bigger backpack, I liked how compact this cross body was with a lot of deep pockets and helpful compartments that hold quite a lot with easy access. While I don't recommend this for full day excursions for hikes I highly recommend it.

The perfect theme park carry all bag
This bag was hands down my best theme park bag choice. I have used several different types of bags on our many trips to theme parks. Usually, I'll pack a bag to take to the park with us in the morning and some issue arises during the day making me wish I could adjust one thing or another about it so that it would work better for my needs. But with this bag, it did everything right! It fit everything that we needed for the day, fit into the lockers at the parks and was comfortable to carry around all day. It's lightweight, but made of a sturdy, water resistant material. There are several pockets to put all of your needed items into, as well as enough of them to keep things secure and sorted. I like that the carrying strap is adjustable for a great fit and that you could wear it comfortably with either the smaller or larger portion in front and it didn't feel awkward.

Works for CCW
Took on vacation for a week. Works well. I was able to carry 2 16.9 oz water bottles, pocket knife, handful of hard candies, pack of gum, wallet (& separate work credentials wallet), car keys (has a built in key leash), 4oz thing of sunscreen, and my EDC g43 with an extra magazine (I am authorized for this carry type- check your laws before you do it, be safe!). This fits in the inside pocket that is close to the body. There is no dedicated area for an item like this, but it fit fine in the holster- just resting there next to my creds, but secure within the bag. Still was able to quickly accessand draw after a little practice. I felt comfortable carrying this way, and felt it was secure and easy to access if needed. There was room for my big phone (S23ultra) as well- in the opposite larger inside pocket- but I kept it in my pant pocket. Is easy to access to all pouches while wearing. Was comfortable with the bag sitting on front side, sort of hanging under my left arm- near the waistline, if you can picture that (about 10 o'clock on my waistline). Fully loaded it was heavy- but that's my fault not the bags, after all I had some items most folks won't be hauling around. There were no issues with zippers. Liked the front open pocket, I was able to add a 3rd water bottle in there but that added to much weight for my preference and kept just the 2 in the side mesh pockets. The strap is half padded. When i tried to wear the pack with it on my back, the non padded portion of the strap was uncomfortable against my body. I actually preferred the pack in front to the side so it was fine for me. It has a sunglasses pouch on the strap. I kept my shades on my hat when not wearing , but I can tell you it held my wife small insulin kit (pen, needles, alcohol wipes, spring lance, cotton balls, etc.) perfectly. The only thing I'm concerned with was the stitching- while I didn't see anything coming undone, looking at it under full load it seems to have alot of stress on the stitching points. No failure yet but if it does happen I'll advise and update here. The zippers and pockets seem well secured, and provides enough security for my stuff. Strap length is good and plenty for me. Overall would recommend for anyone looking to go on a pocket diet. It was very nice to wear loose summer pants with minimal stuff in the pockets (and waistline- my CCW people know this!). Takes a minute to get used to this thing on your body, but was well worth it. Will use again whenever we go somewhere where we'll be doing alot of walking. Comes in alot of colors and there is no smell on mine as someone else reported. For reference I'm 6' around 230 (give or take:-))

Waterfly Crossbody Sling Backpack
This is perfect for what I was looking for. I bought this for a vacation instead of carrying my regular purse around. I have a large purse (13"Lx9.5"Hx5"W), and I can fit 95% of my stuff in this sling backpack. I especially like the pocket on the strap for my phone. The bag sits lower on my back than I'm used to so the pocket on the strap is closer to my face than I'd like, but it's not bad enough to aggravate me much. The mesh side pockets fit a decent sized water bottle. It's durable and holds up to the abuse I gave it. I wasn't sure I'd like this, but I LOVE it. Highly recommend.

Uncomfortable Carry Strap
UPDATE: After having used the WATERFLY Crossbody Sling Backpack Sling Bag multiple times, I will say that the compartment on the shoulder strap is an inconvenience for me. Because I carry the sling bag on my back, the weight of the bag causes the backpack to shift its position to the low on my back, and that shift makes the pocket on the strap ride snug against my chin/neck area. Thie constant rubbing on the skin can get uncomfortable when hiking, riding a bike, etc. I find myself having to frequently adjust the position of the sling bag and move the compartment away from the chin. Lowering the rating from 4 to 3 stars because of this. The WATERFLY Crossbody Sling Backpack Sling Bag is my first shoulder sling backpack which I'll using primarily for walking and bicycling. The bag seems to be well made. it's light and has a useful combination of pockets for keys, wallet, small journal, water bottle, etc. I'm deducting one star because of the extra pocket on the shoulder strap. I doubt I will use this compartment, and in my opinion, takes away from the bags aestetics. Although not a con, I chuckled when I noticed the headphone cable cord pass through hole. Guess some people still use wired headphones. Although it may come in handy when charging a phone or headphone from a charging pack. All in all a good sling bag but would not buy again simply because of the added pocket on the strap.

Trustworthy little backpack.
I've had this since February 23rd, 2023 (Date of original review: April 27th, 2023). Update!!! September 22, 2026 This thing is still completely in tact and fully functional. The crazy part? I’ve been using it as my cabinet touch up kit and wood glue pack for construction the last two years. It’s been receiving a ton of abuse in and out of my work truck. I do residential remodeling with the company I am working for and do just about everything. I’ve had this thing for over 3 years now and have treated it with no kindness. This pack is very durable and I think I’ve gotten complacent with not even thinking about making sure it’s ok. Clips, zippers, mesh pockets; everything still works. Highly recommend this bag. I’d give more than 5 stars if I could. > Update November 28th, 2025: I’ve since switched to another bag for the original person I used this for. However I started using this bag for my cabinet touch up pens/crayons. I work in construction and have not given this thing any love in over a year. It still has no issues, other than being saturated in drywall and wood dust. If interested in buying this product, I highly recommend. I’d suggest reviewing my previous updates as well. This will be my final update. This bag is a hands down good buy. Never regretted buying this, and never will. > Update June 8th, 2024: It's been over a year now. Still using this bag. Decided to add some pics. Still no major noticeable signs of wear and tear. The high visibility strip on the strap pocket is about the only thing that's showing its age. Zippers and clip all still working beautifully. I'm at a point now where I'm almost using this bag every day. I have no need for repairs or replacement. Looks like this bag may stick with me for a very, very, very long time. > Update September 19th, 2023: This backpack is still holding up beautifully. There's some fading/wear on the reflective piece on the front strap but no other signs of any noticeable wear anywhere else on the bag, strap, or pockets. This little backpack still looks brand new and I use it all weekend, every weekend. It doesn't hold a ton, but it can hold a lot. The part that sold me the most was the adjustable strap. Being able to make this a left or right sling pack and not just stuck with one side. > Review April 27th, 2023: The materials and quality of the bag are very good in my opinion. I'm not abusive with this bag, but I'm also not paying attention to make sure I take good care of it. I tend to throw it on my back seat of my car and throw it on and off with where ever I might be. It's a great little backpack that lets me carry what I need for the day. I highly recommend for those on the go or for those who may be doing door-to-door sales and/or daily activities. It's nice enough that it can be used professionally, but casual enough that it can be used for really anything.

Amazing Travel Backpack!
I bought this backpack to travel through Southeast Asia last summer as a walking around bag and it was so useful! I used it daily while on my trip. Very convenient with the front pocket for your phone and wallet. I felt very safe and didn't have to worry about it being stolen off my back as it also straps around your hips as well as being a cross over bag. You can change which side the strap crosses over. It also has many pockets in the bag as well as water bottle holders on the side. I would absolutely recommend grabbing one of these for travelling or for short hikes.

Excelente producto
