These Are A Very Good Soft Close Drawer Slide
I bought two new night stands and they came with a push to close (which locks the drawer in place) and a pull to open drawer slide. Crazy, when you pull the drawer open it almost tips the night stand over which almost causes everything to fall off. So I purchased the Liberty Soft Close drawer slides which I have installed on other cabinets. The night stands came with 12 inch drawer slides. Couldn't find 12inch soft close so I purchase the 14 inch and they work. Soft close drawer slides require that the distance between the drawer and cabinet is a minimum of 1/2 inch on either side, if not they will not work. Also they have to be level and the same distance apart front to back. It's important/critical that the distance is the same from front to back and that they are level on the side and level when checking across from each other. This will insure that the drawer slide works as it should. These are great soft close drawer slides and I will purchase more as I replace more of my kitchen and bathroom drawers slides with the Liberty Soft Close Drawer Close.Soft close require patience when installing as they have to be exact, so if you are up to it I highly recommend them. They do add a new and nice feature to your existing cabinets. Probably adds value to your home! Cheers!

Clear instructions - but check your installation location before purchasing.
I purchased these to replace the stock slides that came on my kitchen island,The instructions were easy enough to follow and installation should have proceeded smoothly IF I had done more homework. I had mistakenly believed my cabinet was compatible with them because my drawer was 1/2 inch less wide than its opening. If I had bothered to pay attention to the listing, it clearly stated that you need 1/2 inch on BOTH sides. That comes to 1 inch narrower. So installation ended up being more complicated than necessary. I ended up taking the drawer to my relative's house, who had a bench planer, and planed the edges of the drawer down so I had enough room to work with. This did require disassembly of the drawer. My second mistake was not realizing that these slides (if you haven't purchased a separate rear-mounting kit) only mount to the edges, along the center line of the slide. I had to ignore the part of the instructions that said where to mount the rails. The manufacturer made provisions for the slide being installed not quite level, as was the case for the right hand slide (I slipped as I marked or drilled the pilot). That said, once I had moved the slides into the location where they would work (my fault for not planning ahead), these installed in less than 5 minutes, and I was able to adjust the drawer to true in another two. These slides do have a little too much pull-back on them when you try to open the drawer. My island (on locked wheels) often tries to follow my hand like a puppy instead of the drawer opening. I can compensate for this by applying counter-pressure with my thumb to the countertop while I pull on the drawer. The drawer closes very nicely and quietly now. These slides are great, and I would recommend getting them.

Quality product
Very sturdy. Used them in a drawer holding vinyl records. Opens and closes with ease.

Not what's advertised
The product was advertised with the blue soft close mechanism which is the same as my existing set, but instead I was sent with the gray soft close mechanism set. The location of the screw holes are different, and it doesn't seem as better made overall. Decided not to go through the hassel to return it since installation is the same and it does what it supposed to do.

Very Stiff and not really cheaper than better brands
I've been using drawer slides for medium weight drawers from the big box hardware stores for several years. they work just fine and cost about the same as these (I'm a facility manager for several daycares). I bought these to save myself a trip to the store and see how they compare. They are too difficult to pull out and not as smooth as other economy brands I have bought from the two big box hardware stores. If you need a drawer pull that will really prevent the drawer from opening too easy, like in a maintenance van driving over rough payment, these would be worth a try. For an everyday drawer in your house or business, just too difficult to pull open.

The sales picture shown is misleading.
The picture shown is not the product for sale. The blue soft close mechanism shown is for a Promark guide. The liberty guide has a different grey mechanism. THe Promark guide has a flat edge while the liberty guide's edge is ridged. These guides will not mix and match. I bought these (because of the picture) to add to Promark guides I had to finish some pull-out shelves which use 3 guides per shelf. I had to reorder to ensure I had all the same type for this project.I do like the Liberty guide however and I do find that it is more forgiving in installation. If your cabinets are a bit wide then you will definitely need to shim the guide to ensure the soft close mech can grab the pin on part of the slide mounted to the drawer.

DIY Nightmare
These drawer slides feel very sturdy and well made, but if you are trying to retrofit kitchen cabinets, do yourself a favor and don't bother trying to DIY the install. I was not able to install these with my existing cabinets because the space was too cramped to maneuver in. Will eventually just buy new cabinets with self/soft closing drawers preinstalled. I made two serious attempts to install one single set of these slides, and ended up a sweaty, angry mess, ultimately reinstalling the crappy old drawer slides.

2 of 2 Don't work properly
I ordered 2 sets of 16" they work decent on the bench but after installation they are so hard to open. It appears that the tolerances required for these slides to function perfectly are to narrow for the average carpenter to use. I should mention that my custom build drawers and boxes are true to 1/32" for both square and width. I have installed hundreds of drawers slides from other manufacturers and a bunch of liberty full extension drawer slides but these soft close just garbage. I wont be purchasing these again.

Make sure to lube bearings for smoother slides
Installed and found the whole slide action to be fairly rough with a bit of friction.Sprayed the bearings generously with some dry-lude and now the drawers slide forward and back effortlessly. Gave the catch mechanism a little spray too so the soft-pull catch is not as rough. You can use WD40 if you want too. I used dry lube because I had some around and decided to use that because it does not attract dust and stays dry.The soft close catch is not as smooth as I would have liked or have seen on much more expensive drawer slides but for the price it's not a big deal. Overall happy with these once lubed.

Absolute junk - stay away
These 'soft closing' slides are anything but. I installed them, checking and adjusting for straight, level and parallel. The mechanisms induce a very high opening load when first drawing the draw towards you, compared to soft closing drawers that I have elsewhere in the house I'd rate the force as being 2-3x higher. The ball bearing slide portion of the travel is very rough and noisy. When you do finally return the draw it takes a pretty good thump to engage the return. In the end I decided to throw these out and go with another brand.

Soft close to a point
These were easy to install because I have installed hundreds of drawer runners over the years. A total of 1-1/16” overall was deducted from my cabinet opening to get my drawer width. I purchased 2 sets of these runners and one didn’t work properly. Then I noticed a small pin from the soft close part had fallen out. Actually 2 pins fell out. Now the top drawer dose not have soft close. The other drawer works perfectly. I will contact Amazon and ask for a replacement.

They work I guess.
The media could not be loaded. I shimmed the width of my drawer to align perfectly for the slides. However even then these are quite firm. You will see in the photo that there is no easy gliding. They have to be pushed up until they catch on the slow close. For $14 I'm not sure what I expected.I will likely return these and get something better.
